You’re going to be tired after a full day in the parks, or maybe even a few short days in the parks…
But doing this helps the mornings go a lot smoother!
Just as you would get your little one’s lunches ready for school the next day, getting that stroller unpacked and ready for the next day feels equally as important when it comes to a Disney trip!
Here’s some things we’re doing after a day in the parks to prep for the next day—
✨ unloading things off the stroller
We don’t take many things into the parks, but we always come back with more than we went in with. (Popcorn remnants, souvenirs, you name it..)
✨ cleaning water bottles
We always bring water bottles for the kids, so we wash those each night and get them ready for the next day.
✨ set clothes out for the morning
So Dad knows exactly what to dress them in while you are getting ready, or so they can dress themselves if able.
✨ refill any essentials in your park bag
Add more diapers, wipes, snacks… anything you used in the park that day. Don’t forget to replace it for the next park day!
I’m sure I missed some helpful things. Tell me yours in the comments!
And if you aren’t already, follow me, @forthememoriestravel, for more tips on how to make Disney ✨ feel easier ✨ with kids!
Going to Disney for the first time or first time in a long time can feel like a lot when you start diving into it all..
Especially with little ones.
That’s why I’m sharing 10 things we do to make Disney ✨ feel easier ✨ with kids.
We always try to plan a “rest day” inbetween two park days.
🌴 it helps your Disney “trip” feel more like a vacation
🌴 it allows you to potentially sleep in if you’ve been getting up early to head to the parks
Here’s some things you can do on this “rest” day
✨ pool time! Take advantage of the pools and activities the cast members have around the main pool area each day.
✨ visit Disney Springs - do some shopping, visiting the World of Disney Store, the Lego store, or grab a bite to eat at one of many amazing restaurants.
✨ character meal - schedule your character meal at a resort on your “rest day” so it doesn’t take up too much park time.
✨ mini golf - if you have a package (room & tickets) booked, you get free tickets to play mini golf!
✨ resort fun - Disney resorts have so many different fun things from the pool activities and games I mentioned earlier to campfires with marshmallows, movies on the lawn, and even different scavenger hunts. We’ve had fun doing all the things the resorts have to offer.
We have been in a phase where we will designated our “rest” day to maybe grabbing a relaxed breakfast somewhere, head to the pool, then after nap time, we’ll get ready and head to a park for a bit—not taking the entire day off from the parks.
If you’ve done a “rest day”, what are you doing instead of going to the parks?
& tell it “I’m here” when you’re on your way!
If you’re a mom (or dad) heading to Disney with your little one, you’ll want to know about these 10 tips my husband and I use to make Disney with kids ✨ feel easier ✨. Be sure to follow me, @forthememoriestravel , to catch the rest of my tips!
One of my favorite things to do: Mobile Ordering!
This feature on the My Disney Experience app is available at most quick-service locations in Walt Disney World—both in the parks and at the resorts.
We love mobile ordering because it keeps things simple. It saves us from:
🙅🏻♀️ Waiting in lines to order food.
🙅🏻♀️ Waiting to pick up food.
🙅🏻♀️ Maneuvering strollers through crowded lines.
🙅🏻♀️ Chasing runaway kids. (just me? 😜)
…You get the idea!
Here’s how it works:
✅ When placing a mobile order, choose a time slot for pickup.
✅ Once you’re nearby, tap “I’m here” to start food prep.
Pro Tip: I like to place the order about 30 minutes before heading over. During busy times, plan ahead and order well in advance. And yes—you can tap “I’m here” while walking to the restaurant for maximize efficiency. 😁
New to Disney or mobile ordering? Drop your questions in the comments! I’ll be happy to answer!
If you’ve been to Disney before, I’d love to hear if you utilized mobile ordering!
It’s been a 4 years since our first visit to Walt Disney World with our daughter, but here are the 5 things we’d do if we were going for the very first time-
🏨 Choose a resort for the location & amenities
first and foremost, choose what fits your budget.
But don’t overlook the benefit of being within walking distance of a park or having access to the Skyliner when weighing your options. It makes #2 a lot easier.
😎 Plan for a mid day break
It’s hard to leave a busy park when there is so much to do and see, but if there is one thing I’ve learned, it’s that everyone is happier with a little rest built in the day.
🏰 Spend 2 days in Magic Kingdom
there is so much to do in Magic Kingdom that you could easily split it into 2 days + not feel bad about that mid day break.
⚡️ Purchase Lightning Lane Multi Pass
this is a no brainer. If we are going to the park for rides, I am budgeting for LLMP to skip the standby lines.
🙋🏻♀️ Have a knowledgeable travel advisor on your
side
Shameless plug, but seriously. It’s like having a built in Disney friend to ask all your questions and get realistic and practical answers.

Who’s gonna break the news to her?? 😭
It’s the end of an era, but probably not the end of my daughter asking to go play games in DinoLand the moment we step into Animal Kingdom. 😆
Even though the Fossil Fun Games, TriceraTop Spin, and Chester & Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures are closed for good now, the Boneyard play ground, snack stands, and Restaurantosaurus (and Dinosaur 😏) are still open!!
Are you sad to see DinoLand go?? Or ready for the new? Tell me in the comments!
I’m all about the memories here, so of course I’m taking one more stroll down memory lane for the year before we close this chapter out.
I saw a post recently saying “Every Christmas will be different. Not better, not worse, just different. You’ll be older. They’ll be older. The magic will shift. Soak it in, because this Christmas only happens once.”
And I can’t help but relate it to every Disney trip because it’s SO true. Within the span of a year, I’ve watched my little ones grow and change.
My youngest has really taken a liking to Mickey Mouse and other characters. My daughter still loves dressing up and all the princess things, but she suddenly became very interested in saving the Galaxy (at Epcot to be exact) 😜.
Everyone says “take the trip”…. But really…. Take it.
The memories we gain are priceless. 💖

Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade starts today during regular park hours at Magic Kingdom!
You can catch it daily through 12/30 at 12pm and 3pm, but always be sure to check your My Disney Experience app on the day of your park day for the most up to date information.
Tally the Elf has been all the rage this year at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party but remember! The performers are subject to change.
This parade is so amazing from start to finish, so it’s a must do for us!
What about you? Will you be seeing it in the new several days? Let me know below!

Not sure if it was the song, the girls in their matching dresses, or just the fact that after years of friendship and crazy high school and college nights, we get to do things like take weekend trips to Disney with our daughters. 💗💗🥹
