Happy check-in day and anniversary trip to some of my bestest clients, who are staying at the awesome Dreams Las Mareas in Costa Rica! They’re in a swim-up suite and have planned ziplining, hot springs, horseback riding, and a romantic private beach dinner 🥰

And later this week, we have some other amazing clients doing a Disney World / Disney cruise land and sea package! They’re starting in a Finding Nemo family suite and ending on the beautiful Disney Wish!

I get lots of questions about how booking with a travel agent goes and what it costs, so here’s a quick step-by-step of my side job ☺️

1. Client/friend contacts me and says, “I think I’d like to go to (tropical location/ theme park destination / cruise / city). Could you help me plan this?

2. We talk about dates, number of people in the group, budget, etc., and I put together a few options with prices for them to look over.

3. Client/friend asks questions about inclusions, deposit, room, activities, and then decides either A.) Let’s do it! Or B.) I better not right now (Either is ok!)

4. If we decide to move forward, I set up the reservation, deposit is paid, and we do a happy dance. The client texts/emails me any time they have questions or concerns. (Client does NOT pay extra for this help ☺️ - however, it is necessary to book through your travel agent in order to get this type of service! Otherwise we are working for free)

5. Before trip time I handle deadlines and make travel arrangements and send important info to client. Client feels confident knowing they have someone they can easily contact to handle anything that comes up!

6. Vacation time! Sometimes client texts and asks for suggestions or tips while on their trip, but hopefully they just enjoy their time because they’re well-prepared!

7. Client hopefully comes home and tells friends how nice it was to have a travel agent on their side to answer questions and help with bookings. (And it was free?!)
