Travel Agent Myths:

- You Work For The Resorts
Nope! Most agents are independent contractors with whatever agency they work for or they may own their own agency (like me!) Said agency is authorized to sell Sandals, Royal Caribbean, etc. but nobody is employed by the vendor itself.

- You Get Paid Even If I Don't Travel
No, again! Travel agents are primarily paid AFTER a client travels. That's a lot of hours quoting, booking, grabbing dining reservations, giving you hints & tips with the hopes that you will book and travel.

- You Travel For Free
For the most part, no! Sure, we might occasionally get a discounted room or familiarization trip (vendors do these so that we are familiar with their product and can sell it) but those are few and far between!
