🚨 Attention all anglers! 🚨

Starting June 20, 2024, new regulations for Red Drum fishing will be enforced. The new regulations are as follows:

◾ 𝗗𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗹: 4- fish daily limit per angler
◾ 𝗦𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝗟𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁: 18-inch minimum and 27-inch maximum total length
◾ 𝗕𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝗱𝘀: Keeping Red Drum over 27 inches is prohibited
◾ The retention of Red Drum by captain and crew on charter or head boats while on a for-hire trip will be prohibited.

Charter captains and crew will still be allowed to engage in fishing on charter trips to demonstrate how to catch red drum, but will not be allowed to retain red drum towards any limit on the vessel.

Weather looks great for Sunday April 16. Come down the bayou and join us for the Chauvin Folk Art Festival and Blessing of the Fleet Celebration. The festival opens at 10 am, and the Boat Parade passes the garden at shortly after 12 noon. We will have food, many local artists demonstrating their techniques and music from The Cajun Preserves before noon, and Nonc Nu and the Wild Matous after the Blessing passes. Bring your picnic blanket, and come pass a good time Cher !

The Dulac Boat Blessing is scheduled for Sunday, April 16th, 2023, immediately following Holy Family Catholic Church's 11am mass. Mass will be held at the Knights of Columbus Hall, located at 5396 Shrimper's Row in Dulac, La. The boats will depart from Holy Family Catholic Church, 6641 Grand Caillou Road, Dulac.

The Chauvin Boat Blessing is also on Sunday, April 16th, and the Pointe Aux Chenes Boat Blessing will be held Sunday, April 30th. Is there an upcoming boat blessing on your bayou? Let us know! Email [email protected] and we''ll share it.

Great news for our Mardi Gras!

The Krewe of Bayou Petite Caillou Carnival Club would like to sincerely thank CHAUVIN BROTHERS for supporting the Parade. Due to Hurricane IDA several floats were damaged. Chauvin Brothers reached out to the club and donated lumber and plywood to help rebuild these floats. Thanks to this company and all other local companies that help continue this local tradition.
