As we mentioned before, a heat wave is coming. Similar to a scale used during severe weather, below is what your risk will look like on Monday, with an explanation of what the heat related impacts are by color. It goes from level 1 to level 4. Most of the Lower Peninsula will be in a level 3 risk, with the U.P. being in a level 1 to level 2 risk.

There will be fireworks in Mackinaw City tonight and every Saturday (except July 6) through Labor Day. Plus July 4.

This photo was taken when the fireworks were launched from the State Dock, but they are now launched from a barge a few hundred yards south of that dock.

St. Ignace will have fireworks over Moran Bay many Saturdays this summer, with the first night being June 8.

We are very excited to share the schedule for our 2024 Music on Main Summer Concert Series! Thursday evenings at 7pm from June 13th - August 29th. Concerts are held at Washington Park (Festival Square if raining). Thursday July 18th will be a special concert featuring Billy Jewell & His Bad Habits held at Festival Square (more details to come). After I clean tomorrow, the next 4 nights are open & available at Lakewood Cottage! That is the largest gap we have open until May, which is now booking!

$70-$72/night the next 4 nights makes for an inexpensive getaway if you need a little April break!

I know our guests might not get as excited as me about new cleaning tools, but ... I'm excited!! Our last Shark pooped out on us when cleaning yesterday, so a new Shark it is!!

Love how light and maneuverable it is AND it has better suction than our last.

Yay for a super clean cottage!
