17th Annual Chinese New Year Dumpling-Making Dinner

Join Z.J. Tong, founder of Chicago Chinese Cultural Institute to celebrate Chinese New Year in a family style with dumpling making, story telling, lion dancing and lots of declious food. We started this tradition in 2005 and many families have joined us at this event as their family tradition. This will be the first time that we resume the event since the pandemic and we can't wait to see every one again!

When: 3p.m., Jan. 28, 2023
Where: Hing Kee Restaurant, 2nd Floor

As we make plans for 2023, please consider including a Chinatown outing. Our historical and cultural walking tour and food tour programs are good for all ages. We’ve had many student groups, senior groups, family and team building groups.

Have you noticed this mural at Chinatown Square? This mural tells the history of Chinese American immigrants in Chicago. This is our home, and we belong here too! ❤️

Pay attention to details in the mural—Gold Rush, Trans-Continental Railroad, Confucius, Statue of Liberty, the diversity of Chicago population, Chinatown Gate, Willis Tower, John Hancock Building, etc....
