How YOU can conquer Animal Kingdom! ⤵️
Animal Kingdom is not your average theme park & it’s absolutely not a “glorified zoo” — it’s a wild adventure filled with thrilling rides, incredible wildlife & breathtaking shows. If you want to make the most of your day, here are my top tips:
✅ Start Early – this park opens earlier than other Disney Parks [usually early park admission is around 7:30 + official park opening is around 8:00am], but check park hours for your travel dates.
✅ Use Multi Pass Lightning Lane Wisely – prioritize attractions with longer waits like Kilimanjaro Safaris, Expedition Everest & Na’vi River Journey.
✅ Book Single Pass Lightning Lane – if you’re looking to ride Flight of Passage, absolutely book a Lightning Lane to bypass the long standby line OR enjoy it via early park admission.
✅ Ride Kilimanjaro Safaris in the Morning or Evening – animals are more active when it’s cooler, making for the best sightings! Keep in mind this attraction opens at general park opening time & closes before park closing.
✅ Don’t Skip the Shows – Festival of the Lion King & Finding Nemo: The Big Blue... and Beyond! are must-sees for a break from the heat. I didn’t have time to see them during my Animal Kingdom day featured here, but I typically like to watch at least one during my Animal Kingdom visits.
✅ Explore the Trails – Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail & Maharajah Jungle Trek offer up-close encounters with fascinating animals — don’t rush through them. Maharajah Jungle Trek has a baby tiger right now, too!
✅ Enjoy Alllll the Food — Animal Kingdom has some of the best theme park food. My favorites include Satu’li Canteen, Mr. Kamal’s, Yak & Yeti, Flaming Tree BBQ.
✨ Bonus Tip: take your time! Animal Kingdom is all about the details — slow down & take everything in. This park is meant to be a relaxing experience.

I’ll always preach this from the rooftop … your Walt Disney World Resort hotel matters!
& yes … I truly know it can feel overwhelming to choose between 25 resort hotels. It’s a lot!
Something I take pride in as a travel advisor — I work with my clients to provide curated suggestions based on THEIR travel wants & needs [no one else’s] … it doesn’t have to be overwhelming!
Here are BIG mistakes you might make [without a travel advisor] when selecting your Disney Resort hotel:
1️⃣ Choosing the Wrong Resort for Your Park Plans — staying at a resort far from the parks you plan to visit most [example — staying at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge but spending most days at Magic Kingdom, leading to long bus rides].
2️⃣ Not Considering Transportation Options
— assuming all Disney Resort hotels offer the same transportation perks. Some resorts have monorail, boat or Disney Skyliner access, while others rely only on buses, which can take longer. Some even have walking options!
3️⃣ Booking Based on Price Alone — picking the cheapest option without considering amenities, dining, transportation & room size. Sometimes upgrading can enhance the experience & save time.
4️⃣ Overlooking Resort Size & Room Location —
choosing a massively spread out resort [like Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort] without realizing a long walk might be needed to reach transportation, pool, dining or lobby. Also room sizing varies per resort [I have that info in my back pocket for you 😘].
5️⃣ Ignoring Resort Specific Perks — missing out on perks like Extended Evening Hours, which are only available to Deluxe Resort guests.
6️⃣ Not Researching Pool & Recreation Options — some resorts have incredible pools [like Disney’s Yacht Club & Beach Club Resorts], while others have basic pools. Some resorts have water slides & some don’t. Families with kids may want to prioritize this.
7️⃣ Forgett
Why this ship could be the ONE for YOUR next vacation!
First off, on this very day in 2011, the Disney Dream set sail on her maiden voyage, so a big happy 14th birthday is in order! 🎉
I had the opportunity to sail on the Disney Dream in 2024 & my goodness, she’s a beauty. She screams Disney Cruise Line [DCL], combining classic design & modern luxury.
Here are some key things to note about the Disney Dream to help you determine if sailing on her is best for your travel party:
*keep in mind we can book DCL now through April 2026*
⚓️ There are 3-6 night sailings available, so if you’re looking for a shorter sailing, this is perfect.
⚓️ Fort Lauderdale is her home base — Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport is less than a 10 min drive from Port Everglades, creating a very easy experience. Plus DCL partners with a few hotels in the area where we can coordinate a DCL shuttle to pick you up on embarkation day.
⚓️ Destinations she’s visiting include Disney Castaway Cay, Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point, Nassau & Cozumel — so if you’re looking to experience one of Disney’s private island experiences, she is perfect. There are even some sailings visiting both Disney island experiences within the same sailing!
⚓️ There are various themed sailings including Marvel Day at Sea, Halloween on the High Seas & Very Merrytime — these themes are a unique way to sail DCL.
I could go on & on & on …
There’s truly so much more to unpack, so if you’re thinking about a Disney Cruise vacation & you’re seeking an expert to help you through your the entire planning process, I’m your gal. 👋🏻 Comment DREAM in the comments & we can connect!

Life as a travel advisor: you’re the vacation planner, the social media strategist, the email marketer, the communications manager, the financial organizer, the vendor liaison & apparently, the videographer [+ photographer] too. And some days … one of those hats doesn’t always fit quite right. 😆
And while moments like this [when my phone decides to quit on me mid-shot] make me laugh, they also serve as a reminder of just how much small business owners manage behind the scenes.
This little blooper is just one example of what it’s like to be a small business owner managing all the things on a daily basis!
Every week, I’m balancing:
✨ Planning dream vacations for my clients
✨ Creating social media content to inspire future travelers
✨ Scheduling email marketing to keep clients informed
✨ Answering countless emails & messages
✨ Making calls with clients & vendors to fine-tune every detail
✨ Attending trainings & webinars to expand my knowledge within the travel industry
✨ Traveling to the destinations I specialize in to receive that in-person product knowledge [this isn’t a weekly task, but y’all know what I mean]
… the list goes on!
It’s not always easy & it’s certainly not always glamorous. But here’s the thing: being part of my clients’ lives in such a meaningful way — helping them plan dream vacations & create lifelong memories with their loved ones — is absolutely the BEST feeling in the world. 🤍
So yes, I’ll happily juggle all the hats, even when they occasionally fall off. It’s 100% worth it.
Here’s to the small business owners wearing all the hats. Keep making magic, one task [or video blooper] at a time. 👏🏻

During my last Walt Disney World vacation, my mom & I wanted to enjoy a nice dinner AND Fantasmic! all in the same evening, so why not do both?
Topolino’s Terrace [@ Disney’s Riviera Resort] is an easy Disney Skyliner ride away from Hollywood Studios, so it just made sense to enjoy dinner there. It was AMAZING - we had the best drinks, food, service, views, etc. Highly recommend this dining location, for both the character breakfast & signature dinner!
Fantasmic!, a show at Hollywood Studios, is something I recommend my clients see during their trips & it’s a show I truly try to squeeze in every trip — it’s AWESOME. A lot of times there will be 2 show times a night, but you can check in your My Disney Experience app what the showtimes are during your trip [this is something I loop my clients in on as well / add to their itineraries].
Tip # 1 — I like to get to Fantasmic! about 40-45 mins in advance, though you can enter even earlier. The theater does fill up, so if you get there too close to show time, the theater may already be at capacity!
Tip # 2 — schedule Lightning Lanes before and/or after Fantasmic!, depending what time your Fantasmic! show is. We were able to enjoy Rock n Roller Coaster just before park closing this way!
SHARE with someone you want to experience this dinner & a show with!
Tip - sit at the bar!🔮👻🥂
Did you know there’s a Haunted Mansion bar? Yes, onboard the new Disney Treasure! There are amazing Easter eggs across the entire lounge honoring this iconic attraction. There are also various different things that happen in the mirror behind the bar [like visits by Madam Leoda], so I do recommend sitting at the bar at least once for a drink so that you don’t miss these details!
Another tip — I found Haunted Mansion Parlor less busy later in the evening. It was PACKED the times I stopped in before dinner, after dinner, after shows, etc. But at 11:00pm, it was more dead [literally & figuratively 👻].

Lincoln [my 10 week black lab puppy] surely is dreaming of the dream vacations I’m planning for ya’ll! 🌎✈️😍
This is what my current work set up looks like, because the leather chairs at the kitchen island [where I typically work] caught Lincoln’s eye [or teeth] way too often, so we’ve had to temporarily put those away. 🙄 BUT when Lincoln decides to snuggle up on me while I’m working, it’s truly the cutest thing. He’s such a sweet boy when his shark tendencies aren’t out!
So whenever you get an email from me in the near future, I may be looking like this! OR I may be pressing send, then practicing “leave it” or “off” with Lincoln. 😆
Do you have any furry friend coworkers? Let me know in the comments! ⤵️
Don’t miss this on YOUR Disney Cruise!
One [of the many many things] that I love about Disney Cruise vacations are the farewell shows, which takes place on your final night of your sailing. It’s truly the perfect way to wrap a bow on your magical trip at sea. Each Disney Cruise ship’s farewell show is slightly different, but ultimately you get to see your favorite Disney friends one final time while celebrating the unforgettable memories you just made during your vacation. 🥹
Here’s a sneak peek of the new Disney Treasure’s goodbye show, called Treasure Found!
Tip — you can heart / favorite all activities [including your ship’s farewell show] on your Disney Cruise Line Navigator App upon connecting to your ship’s WiFi so that you can add to your cruise itinerary!

Say hello to my newest coworker … Lincoln! 🐶
My husband Taylor & I brought home our black lab puppy this past Sunday, and we’re so in love [+ so tired 😅]. Taylor literally picked me up from Port Canaveral post Disney Treasure preview sailing, then we drove to pick up our sweet little man.
Our little Lincoln is part perfect angel / part spicy shark. He’s so cuddly & loving, but his teeth are veryyy much there. 😇🦈
To be vulnerable with y’all for a moment, I unfortunately had a miscarriage back in September & it was extremely hard. To anyone else in this not so fun club — please know I am always here as a listening ear. It’s not necessarily easy to type these words, but ultimately I want you to know that you’re not alone if you’ve also experienced loss. 🤍
I share this with y’all because my husband & I found out we were getting Lincoln 1 month after my miscarriage, so we always considered him our rainbow [fur]baby. Then 1 day before picking up Lincoln, while I was at Disney Castaway Cay via the Disney Treasure preview sailing, there was a beautiful rainbow over the island. This brought out all of my emotions, seeing this rainbow, just a day before bringing home our rainbow [fur]baby. 🥹🌈
Lincoln — we love you so much already, even when your teeth find my hands! 😆🤪🐾
ANY puppy / lab tips, please send my way! 🙏🏻
How YOU can meet The Grinch! ⤵️💚
First off, the holidays kick off TODAY at Universal Orlando Resort! One of the best parts you ask? Well, most definitely meeting The Grinch!
Here’s how you can meet him:
✳️ The Grinch & Friends Character Breakfast [requires reservation]
✳️ Universal Holiday Tour [requires reservation]
✳️ Standard Meet & Greet in Seuss Landing
The standard meet & greet line can be HOURS long [no joke], so if meeting The Grinch is a must-do, I highly recommend the character breakfast or holiday tour!
