Wow last weekend was full of great memories. First charter fishing in 5-7 ft waves. Caught 2 kings 4 trout. Then Bears game on Sunday. My son Alex and Ian got to go to nascar. Alex even got to sign the start line and sat in vip section with access to the pits. Bears kicked butt!! Then saw the northern light last night 6 miles offshore. It was very surreal. Today starts a weekend of charters let’s hope the fish cooperate. Here fishy fishy fish 🎣 🎣🎣

Happy Saturday everyone. I got the afternoon trip today. Capt Jeff got his limit this am hoping to repeat his performance. Last 2 trips we have caught some giant lake trout. Biggest 28 pound 4-5 in the low 20’s. Book your trip today to get on one of these giants. Here fishy fishy fish 🎣 🎣🎣

After replacing this resistor, I’m hoping the problem is fixed. We have our annual bird watchers outing. Which is always educational for me. I must see thousands of them a season. It’s cool to know the unique ones. Only down side waves are 3-5 with occasional 6. Coming from 2 directions. Let’s see how the crew does! Here birdy birdy birds 🦅 🦅🦅

There are still couple of kings around. We had a 21 pound laker with 20 pound king and my first Pink salmon of the year. Taking the rest of the weekend off to go hang with my favorite Florida peeps. After a grueling week. Monday 9 hours of painting bottom of boat. Tuesday pulled 4 motors and took them to Ian’s. Then Pulled 250 gallons of fuel out of the 2 boats. Then pulled 4 gas tanks. Wednesday took all component parts we wanted to keep from boats. Thursday finished up getting stuff off and then boats got hauled to the land fill. Rest in peace original Salukis pride and king Salukis. Thanks Capt Jeff Ewing and Capt Ian for helping out. Now the rain slowed are start time but we are on our way to the fishing grounds. Here fishy fishy fish 🎣 🎣🎣

After about 65 man hours of palm sanding. And 2.5 hours of painting. It’s been one dirty as job. My son was a beast. He was right there the whole time grinding away with me. Capt Jeff gave us couple days of help.
Still have 2 more coats of barrier and then 2 coats of anti foul bottom paint. Last pic tells the whole story. I vowed never to hand sand a bottom. I’ll say it again. Never doing it again. But it does look nice! So we have that going for us. Now to rest up for 6 straight days of charters.
