Wrocław miasto przygody
🎉 Wrocław wins another prestigious award! 🎉
The promotional video “Wrocław: City of Adventure” has won the Silver Dolphin 🐬 in the “Tourism Films – Destinations: Cities” category at the Cannes Corporate Media & TV Awards 2024! 🌍 The video’s director and scriptwriter, Michał Zieliński from MagicLine, personally accepted the award. 🏆
This is already the third distinction in September that the city has received for its promotional campaign! Earlier, Wrocław earned silver medals at the Silafest festival in Belgrade: the Blue Danube award (for city promotion) and the White Acacia award (for soundtrack), as well as the Gold Award for “Tourist Destination – City” in Spain at the Terres Travel Festival – Films & Creativity. 🌟
Thanks to these achievements, Wrocław currently holds 1st place in the prestigious CIFFT ranking, which highlights the best tourism films worldwide. 🔝

Congratulations to the city and the entire team! 🙌
Have you ever heard of the magical city of Wrocław and its hidden treasures?
One of the most charming and enchanting aspects of this vibrant city is its legendary Wrocław Dwarfs! 🧙♂️🧝♀️
Well over 600 of these tiny bronze figures are scattered across the city (and new ones keep popping up), each with its own unique story and personality. They’re not just whimsical decorations but symbols of resistance, humor, and the indomitable spirit of Wrocław’s people.
These dwarfs trace their roots back to the 1980s when they became a symbol of the anti-communist movement known as the Orange Alternative. The movement used humor and absurdity to peacefully protest against the oppressive regime. The first dwarf, Papa Dwarf, was created to commemorate these peaceful protests.
As you wander through the streets of Wrocław, you'll find dwarfs performing a variety of activities—some are hard at work, some are relaxing, and others are just having a little fun.
But here’s something you might not know: There’s a hidden dwarf that’s even harder to find than most! Meet “Śpioch,” the Sleepyhead Dwarf. He’s nestled away in the most unexpected corner, snoozing away as life bustles around him. Legend has it that finding Śpioch brings good luck to those who discover him—just another reason to explore every nook and cranny of this beautiful city! 😴🍀
Wrocław’s dwarfs aren’t just a tourist attraction—they are a journey into the very heart of Polish culture, humor, and resilience. Whether you’re retracing your roots or discovering Poland for the first time, these little figures will surely capture your heart and make you fall in love with the city.
So, next time you’re in Wrocław, keep your eyes peeled! You never know where a dwarf might be waiting to greet you.
