Did you know that the UNESCO World Heritage Odzala-Kokoua National Park is one of Africa’s oldest national parks, established in 1935? Located in the small, welcoming, and peaceful Republic of the Congo (different from the DRC you may have heard of in the news!) it is a haven for the Western Lowland Gorilla, Forest Elephant, Bongo and many other primates and birds.

Our wonderful crew from the Meroe Dahabiya took us on an excursion into the Egyptian desert, the beginning of a path that once was the trade route to Libya and the site of the sandstone quarries used for the temples and tombs.

Grace got to visit Nairobi National Park today and had some incredible sightings- how amazing to have this wildlife right next to the city!

Next was a visit to to visit the young orphan elephants & rhino for their lunch and learn their stories and anti-poaching efforts.
