Today, we decided to launch the volunteering season and use our . What better way to do that than to celebrate and clean the park at Sarajevo neighborhood Grbavica? 🌍

Despite the unexpected rain, 11 dedicated colleagues persevered, revitalizing two children's playgrounds and a park. After we equipped them with lunch packs and essential cleaning supplies, they not only made a tangible difference but also earned a well-deserved day off.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of them for their selfless contribution to making our planet a better place! 🙌

Can you tell us more about your career path at Klika?
“Indeed, it has been quite a while. Starting as an intern at Klika Praksa, I’ve since contributed to three diverse projects. Each role has deepened my skills and knowledge base, with opportunities for growth at every turn. From intern to mentor, my journey at Klika has been a fulfilling evolution of learning and contribution.”

What do you consider your biggest accomplishment during your time at Klika?
“I believe my biggest accomplishment during my time at Klika has been establishing the QA role as crucial across the three projects I worked on. I am proud of my ability to collaborate effectively with all team members during this time and build strong working relationships.”

Can you tell us more about your career path at Klika?
“I joined Klika's Embedded Systems Team three years ago. Even though my role as an engineer didn't change much, the projects I worked on were diverse, which allowed me to learn a lot.”

What do you like the most about Klika?
“The Embedded Systems Team! I'm lucky to be surrounded by amazing individuals and to have them motivate me every day.”

What’s your favorite memory from the time you spent at Klika so far?
“Every teambuilding activity, in or out of the office.”

What do you consider as your biggest accomplishment during the period you spent at Klika?
“Breaking out of my shell.”

What do you like the most about Klika?
“What I appreciate most about Klika is the freedom and sense of trust that makes me want to take ownership of my tasks and deliver results efficiently. Additionally, Klika stands out for its culture of opportunity and growth. This flexibility to pursue additional initiatives not only enhances my skillset but also keeps me motivated and engaged in my work.”

What’s your favorite memory from the time you spent at Klika so far?
“It's challenging to pick just one favorite memory as there have been so many wonderful moments at Klika. However, if I had to choose, I'd say I cherish all the team-building activities we've had. Amazing people work in the embedded team so these activities are filled with laughter and lots of beautiful small memories.”

What is a piece of advice you would give to people who are at the beginning of their careers?
“I encourage them to have faith in their abilities and to face challenges without fear. The Klika community is the best and it is always there to offer support and guidance.”

Benjamin has joined us after proving his worth during the internship three years ago. He is currently taking on the role of a Cloud Applications (Frontend) Engineer and he owns it. We asked him a couple of questions about his time with us, here’s what he had to say.

What do you like the most about Klika?
“What I like the most about Klika is its people. It’s the environment that motivates me to keep contributing.”

What do you consider your biggest accomplishment during your time at Klika?
“From a technical standpoint, I’m proud to have been part of the team that worked on Spiro’s redesign. On a non-technical level, I value the experience of working with a group of people who truly embody what a cohesive team should be like.”

What’s your favorite memory from the time you spent at Klika so far?
“Definitely our teambuilding events. Each one has been a great experience and fun time.”

What is a piece of advice you would give to people at the beginning of their careers?
“Be a great teammate. Communicate openly, and ask for help when needed, people at Klika are great, supportive, and willing to help anyone.”

Since its establishment in 2021, the Klika Scholarship Foundation has supported three generations of students, and we take great pride in witnessing the success of our talented alumni today. Among them is Filip Novaković, a law student currently pursuing a doctoral degree at the University of Banja Luka.

Although unforeseen circumstances prevented him from conducting a workshop on gender equality for us, Filip agreed to participate as a guest on , where he engaged in a meaningful discussion on this crucial topic.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Filip for his contribution to our community, and we are honored to have individuals like him as part of the Klika Scholarship Foundation.

We love to read books; proof of that is , which has been active for several years. Every month, members choose a book they will discuss at their next gathering. As March was proclaimed International Women’s Month in Klika, we dedicated the Book Club to female writers from Bosnia and Herzegovina.

We chose two books, the first of which was “Tamo gdje se čuje smijeh” by Elma Porobić. She describes her book as a collection of eleven stories with which she wants to point out parts of our existence and unravel the ordinariness of our everyday lives, opening the door to the lives of her protagonists.

The second one was “Svetkovina” by Magdalena Blažević. This book tackles gender inequality and gives us a universal women’s perspective.

We held this session at Zbornica, a new space by COI Step by Step that acts as a bookstore, library, and general space for new education initiatives for anyone interested. We want to thank everyone who joined us last Thursday and participated in an engaging discussion about these two excellent books. We already started reading the next book and look forward to the next session.

Today, we share the last educational video we made in collaboration with COI Step by Step as part of the Women in Education campaign. In this edition, the COI Step by Step team got together with the honorable Dr. Radmila Rangelov Jusović, former Executive Director at COI StepByStep, who sadly passed away three years ago.

The series aimed to remind us of the successful women who spoke about education, feminism, and equality; Dr. Radmila Rangelov Jusović was undoubtedly one of them. She significantly impacted education in Bosnia and Herzegovina, inspiring teachers countrywide to pursue changes to better our educational system.

In this episode, the team discussed how the value of education is being diminished and what exactly education is today.

For the last 10 days, engaged in a drawing competition and the results are in! 🎨

We organized this activity in collaboration with Bajkologija - a specialized bookstore for children as a part of International Women’s Month under the slogan and all through the efforts of our CSR program.

Children were encouraged to create drawings based on the topic “She is my hero!“. Heroes appeared in the forms of moms, grandmas, aunts, and teachers and we loved them all, therefore we decided everybody gets a reward!

As a reward, we prepared a book titled “20 Extraordinary Girls Who Changed the World” by Rosalba Troiano. The book honors iconic women throughout history, covering artists, athletes, explorers, inventors, novelists, activists, and other important figures who have made significant contributions to society.

We hope they enjoy all these inspiring stories and find the motivation to pursue their dreams!

Yesterday, under the watchful eye of Frida Kahlo, we gathered to play one of the most beautiful board games we have ever played—WingSpan! 🦜

The choice to play this game wasn’t random; we actually wanted to honor the work and imagination of Elizabeth Hargrave, a genius game designer who significantly contributed to a traditionally male-dominated industry of board game design.

Elizabeth Hargrave’s background in biology and her passion for birdwatching heavily influenced the creation of WingSpan, as evident in the game’s meticulous attention to detail regarding bird species and habitats. WingSpan provides an engaging gaming experience and educates players about avian biodiversity and conservation efforts.

Due to WingSpan’s success, Elizabeth Hargrave has gained prominence in the board gaming community as a talented female designer with a unique perspective. She has since continued to develop innovative games that combine her interests in science, nature, and game design.

We liked the game so much that we stayed in the office long after working hours, discovering various amazing birds. Thank you, Elizabeth, for this and every future fun game we’ll play!
