At 333 miles (289.4 nautical miles), the Race to Mackinac is the oldest annual freshwater distance race in the world. 'The Mac' starts at the Chicago Lighthouse, just off Navy Pier and continues to Mackinac Island. In 2021, the cruising division starts July 16, and the racing divisions July 17. The Mac is widely considered a bucket-list race and has featured world class racers such as Ted Turner;

Steve Fawcett; Roy Disney and Larry Ellison, as well as thousands of amateur racers from throughout the US and the world. It was America’s second national park, coming three years after Yellowstone. In 1895, the park was transferred to the state of Michigan, becoming “Mackinac Island State Park,” Michigan’s first state park.

👉 We're excited to welcome Larsen Marine Service as the official logistics partner of the 116th Race to Mackinac!

The addition of Larsen Marine – one of the largest full-service, deep-water marinas on the western shore of Lake Michigan – significantly expands the Race’s logistics offerings in support of the 320 current entries, the largest race in recent memory.

Larsen Marine will be able to provide competitors many services including:

➡ Offering discounted services, parts, and supplies to all race participants
➡ Vessel offloading, keel installation, rigging services, and bottom washes
➡ Help competitors arrange transportation of their boat to Chicago as needed
➡ Much, much more!
