My longing for luxury travel and tourism began as a young girl when my family of seven would go on camping trips and cram into one big tent. We would sometimes wake up soaking wet because the crowded environment caused them to lean too close to the walls and rain would seep in. It was then that I decided, “There HAS to be something better than this.” I soon figured out that not everyone was camping and turned her eye toward the beautiful resorts dotting the coastlines.
My love for traveling abroad began when my husband and I decided to get married in Rome, Italy. The very first morning of my very first trip to Europe I woke up early and, with a cappuccino in hand, watched the sun rise over Positano Italy. The rest is history. I returned home and began studying Italian and am now travel fluent after several years of classes and private lessons.
I have worked in various capacities of the travel industry throughout the years. Early in my career I helped develop tourism sales with the LaPorte County Convention & Visitors Bureau, then worked in special events for The Drake Hotel and Bloomingdales in Chicago.
After children, I continued honing my skills by chairing my children’s school auction and volunteering for various school committees. Most recently, I worked on special projects for Mayflower Tours & Cruises and as an event manager for On The Scene Chicago, a Chicago Destination Management Company.
