01/17/2025 - The timing for rain and possible thunderstorms has shifted to Saturday morning, continuing throughout the day.
An arctic front is expected to move through on Sunday, bringing significantly colder temperatures. Lows will drop into the 20s starting Sunday night and persist through Thursday.
Wind chills will be especially cold, dipping into the teens Monday night through Thursday night. Please take necessary precautions to stay warm and safe during this period.
01/16/2025 - Holmes County can expect showers and possible thunderstorms overnight from Friday into Saturday. On Sunday, temperatures will begin to drop, with lows expected in the mid to upper 20s. On Monday, the high is forecasted to reach the low 40s.
Freezing temperatures are anticipated during nighttime hours through mid week next week which may pose risks to residents, pets, and property.
Cold Weather Precautions:
Check on elderly neighbors and those with health conditions.
Bring pets indoors or provide adequate shelter and bedding.
Allow faucets to drip to prevent pipes from freezing and wrap exposed pipes.
