01/17/2025 - The timing for rain and possible thunderstorms has shifted to Saturday morning, continuing throughout the day.

An arctic front is expected to move through on Sunday, bringing significantly colder temperatures. Lows will drop into the 20s starting Sunday night and persist through Thursday.

Wind chills will be especially cold, dipping into the teens Monday night through Thursday night. Please take necessary precautions to stay warm and safe during this period.

01/16/2025 - Holmes County can expect showers and possible thunderstorms overnight from Friday into Saturday. On Sunday, temperatures will begin to drop, with lows expected in the mid to upper 20s. On Monday, the high is forecasted to reach the low 40s.
Freezing temperatures are anticipated during nighttime hours through mid week next week which may pose risks to residents, pets, and property.

Cold Weather Precautions:

Check on elderly neighbors and those with health conditions.

Bring pets indoors or provide adequate shelter and bedding.

Allow faucets to drip to prevent pipes from freezing and wrap exposed pipes.

MSC Seashore was our newest adventure! Here are a few takeaways from our trip! As we do reviews we give you our personal experience as well as unbiased opinions so you know just what to expect. No hidden details from us!

Embarkation and disembarkation process: Everything was very smooth and very quick. As we approached the check in stations and our credentials were checked we were quickly allowed on the ship and right to our rooms for our cabin key cards ( msc allows you to drop luggage off at your rooms if you Carry any on and grab your room keys even if they are not ready yet so you have time to walk around the ship and sight see with out having to tote luggage around, maybe even grab a might at the buffet.

Food: All the food was great. No issues with uncooked food or food that was cold that should have been hot. A lot of variety and even options for gluten free, vegan and kosher! The kids also have their very own food bar all at kids heights and everything they like and love. From ice cream to PB and Js stocked every shift with a huge variety of goodies.

Entertainment: The main shows were wonderful! Very talented singers and dancers. Not a lot of theatrical parts just a simple stage but well done for a smaller stage production. There were side performers in Different Lounges and bars that were also amazing. Tons of musicians and acrobats.

Accommodations: Our room was not quite ready when we boarded so we dropped our luggage and grabbed our key cards. The ship was relatively empty so we enjoyed the whole ship as we scouted our way around down halls and on the decks. Once the call for rooms was announced we returned to our cabin. The rooms were well decorated and very modern and well stocked (it does have a mini fridge with drinks at an extra charge). Our cabin was an ocean view balcony room, large windows and wonderful views.
The only complaint I have personally was the stiffness of the bed ( I prefer soft) but I did not have trouble sleeping at all. The bathrooms are very small, the msc ships are normally a European ship, the bathrooms are equivalent to an RV camper size. A corner shower with an extendable shower head , a toilet and a corner sink . Other than these small issues we were very satisfied with our cabin.

Customer service: We found a language barrier tended to be an issue with simple communication but once an understanding was made any issues we had were quickly rectified or fixed to our liking. Most of the staff were from Europe or farther such as France, Italy, Morocco, Portugal..etc.

Kids activities: They have a kids club called Do-RE-MI, there are 6 water slides and a kraken themed swim area along with pirate boat and
Water guns. Along with clubs the staff take the kids to lunch movies and so much more. There is an arcade on board with F1 racer simulator and VR ride games.

All in all our experience was rated a 9 out of 10. Everything was wonderful from boarding to disembarkation. We were also thrilled to find out that children ages 17 and under are free .... Always! That's right kids are always free with MSC!! We met so many wonderful people on this trip and we look forward to going on MSC again next year on the new World America !! We have been in contact with on of our agents Colleen , she lives in Greer, SC luckily they were spared any major Damage from Helene but her area is still in need and some locations are unacceptable.
