There are also plenty of walking trails. 3 charming small towns that need to be on your travel bucket list 🥰 🐋 Bar Harbor, Maine This charming town is the gateway to Acadia National Park. There are so many charming B&Bs to stay in, restaurants, and shops! ✨ Skaneateles, New York- located in New York's Finger Lakes region Lake Skaneateles is one of the Finger Lakes and also known for being on the cleanest lakes in the country! It's stunning and you can see all the way to the bottom! This small town has so much charm and it's the perfect place to disconnect for a bit. We stayed at the Mirbeau Inn and I highly recommend it! 🎨 Saugatuck, Michigan- This town has such a fun a laid back vibe with all the charm. We loved strolling the streets to shop and stopping to eat at The Barge- a cute waterfront restaurant. So magical ✨🌲❄️ This is the Old Man's Cave hike in Hocking Hills and its straight out of a fairytale. It's a little over a mile long and pretty easy. You start at the upper falls, pass unique rock formations, see the devils bathtub, walk under the A-Frame Bridge, walk through a stone tunnel to get to Old Man's Cave, continue your hike to lower falls. Please be aware that winter conditions can become very icy so plan accordingly. These videos were taken on Jan 8th and the hike still had lots of fresh snow. There were spots where the snow was getting packed down and it was starting to ice over! ❤️ romantic couple's getaway idea in Tennessee! ❤️ Hiwassee River Retreat 🥂 📍 Calhoun, TN (40 miles from Chattanooga) {hosted} This retreat currently has two riverfront cabins to choose from (both have similar layouts & same amenities but are decorated differently!). Each cabin has a clawfoot soaking tub with a view, full kitchen, bathroom with a double shower, king bed, loft area with games, outdoor dining bar, double outdoor shower, hot tub, and fire pit! I love that have a welcome gift for their guests which include snacks, slippers that go with your robes, complimentary champagne or sparkling juice, and a heart lock to place on their lock of love wall. They also have a dock, kayaks and a stand up paddle board for guests to use (these are seasonal). My favorite amenity was the unique Riverview treetop soaking tub! The view is incredible and it was so peaceful (this is an add-on to your booking at an extra cost). I love how quiet and peaceful this area is! It's a true hidden gem 💎. Sitting on the dock at sunset and spotting eagles fly over the river was such a neat experience. The most charming Inn I've ever stayed at and it's only 2.5 miles from New River Gorge National Park in West Virginia ✨ This is the Historic Morris Harvey House located in the cozy downtown of Fayetteville and walking distance to amazing restaurants and shops The Historic Morris Harvey House Bed & Breakfast Accomodations- this Inn has a variety of luxurious accommodations from cozy rooms to large suites. I stayed in the Library room on the 2nd floor. It was full of incredible details that made me feel like I stepped back in time. The bathroom even included a gorgeous claw foot tub 🛁✨ I loved sitting in the parlor next to the fireplace and listening to the vintage music play in the background. There's also great outdoor furniture to relax in under large shade trees, perfect for sunny days. Rosa's Speakeasy is such a vibe and open Thursday-Sunday 5:30pm-9:00pm (reservations strongly encouraged). This is one of the best cocktail bar experiences I've ever had. The area is lit by cozy candlelight and the details are unmatched. They also offer charcuterie boards and pie 🥧 🍸 It was also decorated so perfectly for Halloween. Every guest that I met, including myself were in awe of the details! I need to come back and see it around Christmas! A magical Jack-o'-lantern forest 🎃🕯️🍂👻 📍 Louisville, KY If you don't live near Louisville there are events like this all around the States- research and see if there is one happening near you. 🎃 The trail is beautifully lit up by enchanting jack-o'-lanterns. There are different themes, so you'll find something you'll love. This is a timed entry event so make sure to get your tickets in advance on their website! Adult tickets are from $13-$20 and children are $10-$15 depending on the day of the week you visit and the time you visit. It took us about 1.5hrs to walk through and I think the price is worth it. There are 5,000 pumpkins here! The trail is 1/3 of a mile long. There are food stands and drinks available. Make sure to get a warm apple cider before entering if it's chilly. Passion for Pumpkins from Oxford, MA designs the pumpkins. They have events all over the country, so if you're not near Louisville make sure to see if there's one near you! It is wheel chair accessible.
