It’s hard to imagine what the Christmas Season would be like around the world without the Cincinnati region!

Santa Claus may never of came to town, if it were not for Covington resident Haven Gillespie’s lyrics.

The Grinch may not have stolen Christmas in 66 were it not for UC alum Albert Hague's incredible melody and score.

Maybe we never learn that it is “the Most Wonderful Time of the Year”, if former Cheviot resident, Andy Williams, doesn’t make it big.

Would Bing Crosby and Danny K have a reason to sing and dance if it wasn’t for a couple of local ladies – Vera Ellen and Rosemary Clooney and background dancer George Chakiris (Norwood).

Does John Hughes’s Home Alone really feel the same without Newport resident Charles Brown’s “Please Come Home for Christmas”?

Would Christmas morning really be the same for kids around the world if there was no Easy Bake Oven, Spirograph, Stretch Arm Strong, Sit-n-Spin, Stars Wars action figures, Strawberry Shortcake, Starting Line-Up figures or Carebears from Cincinnati legendary manufacturer - Kenner?

What if schoolteacher Kay Zufall never took Cincinnati’s Kutol Industry paste to school and re-marketed it as Play-Do?

Without Cincinnati, maybe Mike Bowling never daydreams, while working at that local Ford Manufacturing line for 18 years, only to later create 80s kid favorite - Pound Puppies?

What if Jim Mariol never designed the Cozy Coup in his downtown Cincinnati office at Design Alliance, that was manufactured by Little Tikes?

If not for the Queen City, perhaps Abe Bookman doesn’t learn engineering at the Ohio Mechanics Institute and go on to create the Magic 8 Ball.

How many stockings wouldn’t have been stuffed with Milford barber, Merel Robbins' invention “UNO”?

How many kids wouldn't have played with a Hutch Football at recess if it were not for Hutch Sporting Goods on West 8th Street?

Without Cincinnati’s Carllisle & Finch, who manufactured the first electric toy trains in the country, we may not have toy train displays to look at during Holiday Season.

Its’ hard to imagine what the Christmas Season around the world would be like without Cincinnati.

You really have had a wonderful life!

Remember, every time a Verdin Bell rings an Angel gets her wings.

Merry Christmas from American Legacy Tours!

It was impossible to read retired Enquirer reporter Paul Daugherty latest post on the TML and not share. His take on sports is legendary, but his insights on family and life are priceless. His latest writing about his dad and his life were especially touching and we wanted to share.

All of us know the problems. Now they need to be fixed.

Our Story

In 2009, five friends introduced the Newport Gangster Tour as a fundraiser event for a local school to raise money for a student service trip. The Gangster Tour fundraiser was unexpectedly and overwhelmingly successful, which inspired us to create American Legacy Tours later that same year. The reason for the company is to share our passion about the rich history of Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky with local residents and visitors.

In 2010, our third tour was introduced, the Queen City Underground Tour, in the heart of Over the Rhine. The Queen City Underground Tour quickly became our most popular tour, which explores the history of OTR and Cincinnati's rich brewing heritage.

Today, American Legacy Tours offers over 17 guided tours and events, including seasonal Haunted Tours and Christmas Saengerfest (a Christmas themed music festival in OTR). American Legacy Tours has been voted "Best Historical Tour" by Cincinnati Magazine. We have been featured in National Geographic, Forbes Travel, the BBC America, the Politico, the New York Daily News, Midwest Living, and Fodor's Travel. Most recently we have been listed as a must see by lonely planet. We hope you give us a chance to show you around. For a full list of all our tours please visit us at www.americanlegacytours.com
