Super fun trip on my home lake, Oologah. It was a bit chilly but the bite was hot hot! We had a few fish that were a tad over 10lbs. Same pattern as before. Find the shallow water shad and the cats will be below them. We kept a 4 man limit and Kirk donated them to Eddie Wade’s fish fry on January 19th in Oologah at the FFA Livestock Expo. 4pm-7pm. Maybe I can see you all there. I’ll post a link. The cold weather is coming quick. Hope there isn't a shad kill again. If so I’ll be switching fishing locations.

Just pulling out of Bill’s Marine in Skiatook. They treated me realy great and special. Not because I’m a guide but because I’m a customer! Rare thing anymore for a buisness to go above and beyond, however the guys there sure do. I appreciate that.

Fantastic bite today! We put fish in the boat in short order. Had a strong wind and fished more spot lock than power poles so we didn’t get as many hook-up’s with slack lines but did great anyhow. Grabbed a quick spoonbill before we left. My trim motor went out so I will be off the water until its repaired. Im taking it to Bills Marina. They do all my boat repairs. Always get me in and tries to save me money when possible.

Catfishing was on fire this am. Nothing realy big, just a couple bigger ones. We put a three man limit in the boat and had a great time doing it. I noticed the bite slowed down after the sun came out and got high. All and all another great day on Oologah. I have openings here and there if you want to get in on some of the action.

Today was a catfish beat down! First fish was 21lbs. Caught 5 or so over and plenty of nice box fish. Kept 25 or so and cut the test loose. Action never really slowed down today. I think the fog kept them feeding all day. Did some spoonbilling for grins as well. Really fun group from Minisoda land. Oologah lake. Same pattern on cut shad. No reason to change whats working for me.

Quite the stellar day on the water. The weather was just about perfect. We wore out the box sized fish most of the day. If things slowed down we would roll up and move a couple hundred yards and the bite would be on again. Kinda my MO to do that. I was talking with my client about being a while since I caught a big fish and then it happened. He was reeling in a nice 17lb and another rod went down. This one was a 30lb’er. His biggest to date. We ended up with our limits and called it a day. Temps are 47 deg. Best bite was channel breaks.
