🚸 Back to School Means Back to Safety! 🚌

Whether school just started or has been in session for a few weeks, there’s one thing we can never forget: SAFETY. With the days getting shorter and the weather turning colder, it's crucial to stay alert, especially in areas where school buses are on the move.

Here are some tips to help keep our communities safe:

1️⃣ Know Your Area: Familiarize yourself with the bus routes in your neighborhood. Are there pick-up or drop-off points near you? Knowing this can make a big difference, especially on foggy mornings or in low light.

2️⃣ Watch for Flashing Lights: School buses are hard to miss when they light up like Times Square! 🚦 If you see flashing amber lights, the bus is about to stop. When the lights turn red and the stop sign is out, it’s the law to stop, too. Remember, this applies even if you’re on a two-lane road!

3️⃣ Avoid Distractions: We all know texting and driving is illegal, but did you know that most incidents involving stopped school buses happen because drivers were distracted by their phones? Let’s all do our part and keep our eyes on the road.

Remember, there are kids around these buses, and they might be crossing the street. Let’s make sure every child gets to and from school safely. Please slow down, pay attention, and let's make our roads safer for everyone. 🚸🛑
