What happens if there is a tornado or other disaster and a tree limb falls across your driveway. And your chainsaw is out of gas...Let's hope you have a backup handsaw or ax. Check out the video - a big oak limb fell in my backyard and I had to chop it up with my ax.

VERY PROUD to be associated with Quapaw Canoe Company and Quapaw Canoe Company - Vicksburg Outpost as a part-time guide. The company was just named the Mississippi Small Business of the Year. Kudos to John Ruskey, Layne Logue, Mark River Peoples and all the hard-working "worker bees" who make the company such a wonderful organization.

Our mission is happy clients and a healthy river environment, not the bottom line

Walked along the big river today. It's incredibly low. Accessed the sandy shore by Letourneau Landing south of Vicksburg. It's way too low to put in a boat, but a few ATVs and Jeeps were exploring the vast sand bars. Deb and I took the dogs up a couple miles into the boonies and saw all manner of different shoreline, terrain, plants, driftwood, isolated pools with jumping fish, reptile and bird tracks, surprisingly little trash. We picked up the plastic bottles, some with half filled liquid 🫤. Super quiet and isolated. What a gorgeous day.
