What an amazing moose hunting season we had! It’s hard to put into words how fortunate I am to be able to be a part of so many people’s moose hunting memories. The stories told and the camaraderie shared in camp after a hunt is what we look forward to all year, at Epic Adventures.

We have had a busy but successful, three weeks of moose hunting here in the beautiful North Maine Woods. Congratulations to all of our clients and guides. The rain turned into snow last night which made for a fun day of hunting! My sports passed on a bull today and we got close to a shot opportunity on another nice bull. Cassie and I had a few visitors on the pond Saturday night!

Mark is headed to Alaska for the Summer to start guiding out there and traveling through BC and the Yukon. Here is a video he sent from the Yukon. Looking back through old pictures, it was a neat coincidence I was traveling through Canada the same exact dates four years ago to guide for the Summer.

Moose guides are always thinking about moose 🤷🏻‍♂️

Here is Randy’s bull that I guided last week. Up close and personal just like all moose guides like! We caught this bull crossing the road the evening before after dark and decided to give that spot a try the next morning. Luck would have it, when we arrived predawn, he had a cow and we heard him grunting a few hundred yards away from where we saw him the evening before. After two hours of working into him imitating another bull, playing the terrain and wind, we finally got into his discomfort zone and he came into 20 yards destroying every tree he could the last 100 yards. After we harvested this bull, that evening I realized it was a bull that I captured twice on trailcam this Fall 1.7miles away. It was nice to put all the scouting to work!
