The Polynesian has always been one of my favorite resorts at all of Walt Disney World and was my GO TO resort when I wanted to be on the monorail and close to the Magic Kingdom.

You just can't beat the proximity, theming, and overall feel of this resort. The pool and the Dole Whips are a big hit too!

The new 10 story Island Tower will be opening in December of 2024 and if you wanna be one of the first to stay there, you bettah listen up.

I know it’s tempting to grab that ticket on the early morning of your embarkation day.

I mean it’s cheaper than the one that goes out the day before and you’ll save the cost of the hotel and dinner.

Makes sense right?

That’s a negative Ghost Rider.

One of the biggest mistakes first time cruisers often make is booking flights to land on the same day their cruise departs.

Any type of travel delay or cancellation will put you at risk of missing your cruise entirely. This would be quite a costly mistake since you've already paid for your cruise in full at this point.

Think about all the things that can go wrong when you choose to fly on the same day as your cruise begins. From weather delays to maintenance issues, there are a million things that can go wrong when flying and we all know lately airline travel has not been the most reliable method to get where you are going on time.

You’re basically leaving it up to fate and good travel mercies, might as well flip a coin. lol

So start looking for those flights that arrive to the port of embarkation the day before your cruise embarks now or even consider extending your vacay a day or two and exploring the port city.

It will protect your cruise investment and also save you a lot of stress too!

We’ve all been there.

You’ve been stuck on a hella long flight to paradise and now the plane is unloading and it’s time to grab your bag and head straight to your resort. Rest and relaxation awaits!

You can hardly contain your excitement.

You arrive at the baggage carousel and stand there with all the other folks waiting for their bag to appear.

One by one they start coming out…black, navy, another black, a few random not quite red but not really burgundy bags. 🄸’🅅🄴 🄶🄾🅃 🄰 🄱🄰🄳 🄵🄴🄴🄻🄸🄽🄶 🄰🄱🄾🅄🅃 🅃🄷🄸🅂.

A few folks grab what they think is their bag and then sadly put it back because it belongs to someone else. In the words of Obi-Wan, “ყσµ૨ εყεร ૮αɳ ∂ε૮εเѵε ყσµ; ∂σɳ’ƭ ƭ૨µรƭ ƭɦεɱ”.

And that is when you wished you hadn’t played it so safe with your choice of luggage. 𝕀𝕥’𝕤 𝕒 𝕥𝕣𝕒𝕡 you don’t wanna fall into!

I used to have a royal blue bag and I had a super cute Winnie the Pooh scarf tied to it to make it easy to find. Either the scarf fell off or someone stole it.

Then I decided enough was enough and invested in fun family luggage for us all.

Now we stroll down to baggage claim and have zero issues. In all our travels, I have never seen anyone else with our bags. Not even at Disney or on a Disney cruise as shown in the photo. 𝐀𝐥𝐥 𝐭𝐨𝐨 𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐲!

Bonus is that you’ll make lots of friends when traveling, everyone wants to talk about our bags!

Extra bonus is that you can clue the world in on how you are feeling without saying a word. If I am toting my Darth Vader on a trip, best to just leave me alone.

Long story short, get some bags that stand out from all the rest and you will thank me later.

🌎Just Booked🌎

Over the moon excited for my clients who have booked a 5️⃣ night stay in the super fun 𝘿𝙚𝙨𝙥𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝙈𝙚 suite at the bougie 𝙿𝚘𝚛𝚝𝚘𝚏𝚒𝚗𝚘 𝙱𝚊𝚢 resort at Universal Studios Orlando.

This is a highly sought after suite as there are only 18 in the entire resort!

Mom and dad will get their own king sized bed and luxurious room and the kiddos will be sequestered in Gru’s Lab in their own swanky digs that is sure to make them feel like o̳n̳e̳ ̳i̳n̳ ̳a̳ ̳M̳i̳n̳i̳o̳n̳. There’s plenty of space for all in this 650 sq foot suite!

Heading out on a cruise in the near future?

Whether you are on the deck poolside, on a private island like Castaway Cay or Perfect Day at CocoCay, or just hanging out on your verandah, (okay especially if you are just hanging out on your private verandah) - don’t forget your towel clips!

Why you might ask?

Cruise ships tend to be windy to the max, especially on days at sea and unless you want your beautiful decorative beach towel (we all know you bought a new one before the trip) to join Nemo and friends, clip it down.

I find towel clips to also come in very handy in situations where everything might look the same. Think when you are on Castaway Cay and everyone probably has the same towels from the boat. A brightly colored or themed towel clip will make it easy to find your spot in a sea of sameness!
