Captain Memo's Pirate Cruise is a small business in Clearwater Beach, FL. We offer daily cruises for both tourists and locals. We have been one of the main tourist attractions for the past 45 years and it's all because we continue to find great people who don't mind working while having a great time with great people from all around the world!

Our Pirates are 100% committed to helping our customers have a fantastic, memorable experience.

A big part of the job includes managing water gun battles, treasure hunts, dance parties, and firing cannons into the Gulf of Mexico while insuring the safety of our guest pirates. The job also entails taking photos, selling photos, cleaning and stocking the boat before and after cruises.

Basic responsibilities:

- Prepare the ship for cruises
- Manage the timeline of our cruises
- Ensure passenger entertainment during the cruise
- Managing the dock lines on departure and return from cruises
- Cleaning the boat after cruises
- Detailed responsibilities will be outlined during the interview process.

Deckhand / Pirates / Customer Service employees are hourly employees, but also make excellent tips throughout the year. A full-time pirate can make anywhere from $50k to $65k in a year depending on schedule.

Our cruises are booked solid for 75% of the year, but we do have some slower months during the off-season. Overall, it's a really fun job with some basic cleaning and stocking work as well.

About you ----

Must like and work with kids.

Must pass a background check and drug test
Subject to U.S. Coast Guard random tests quite frequently, medical cards are not accepted.

What sets Captain Memo's Pirate Cruise apart from other similar businesses is that our people are not "sales" people. We do offer information about our cruises to customers when they call, walk by, or show up for their cruises. However, we are not actively trying to grab passers-by and sell them a cruise. Our cruise has been in business for over 40 years and people from all around the world know about it and come to Clearwater Beach with a cruise with Captain Memo's Pirates already on their to-do list!

We have several different job opportunities and we have seen many of our employees start with one and develop and move up into other positions. It's a fun job with the ability to make money and work your way up to other positions. Positions at our company include; Customer Service Representatives, Pirates/deckhands, First Mates, Bartenders, Bar Managers, Captains, and group sales.

It's a fun job, but it is a job and we are looking for someone reliable, well-spoken, and friendly that is willing to come be a part of our team.

Starting March 1, Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority and the city of Clearwater are teaming up to provide providing free park-and-ride trolley and bus service during this year's Spring Break.🚌🏖️☀️

Park for FREE in Downtown Clearwater at 112 S. Osceola Ave., and a trolley or bus will pick you up and take you to Clearwater Beach. The free program goes through April 30.
