You know, recently HOSTS have been in the news with their crazy chores lists….mowing they yard? Are you serious?🤪. However, sometimes, you run into a BAD Guest! So just like HOSTS need to get their acts together, lots of GUESTS do too. Here are a few suggestions to ensure that as a GUEST, you are holding up your part of the contract for an enjoyable stay! 1- READ the ENTIRE listing. Make sure you know exactly what you will be renting. 2- FOLLOW the HOUSE RULES! Your HOST is letting you borrow their beautiful home. There’s nothing wrong with a few rules. 3- REGISTER all of your GUESTS… this includes children and infants. Often municipalities and properties have MAX Occupancy regulations so EVERYONE staying needs to be on the reservation. 4- NEVER book for someone else. This is considered a third party booking and it’s a violation of the Terms of Service. Besides, if your unregistered guest destroys something, you will be held responsible. 5- DO NOT SMOKE in a NON-SMOKING listing. This is just a dick move…PERIOD. You may not be able to smell well, but others can and many more have allergies. The cost to mitigate tobacco and marijuana is substantial so if you break this rule, get ready to pay up! 6- DO NOT bring a PET to a NO PET property! Again, dick move! There are plenty of PET FRIENDLY listings. Please book one of them instead. While many of us love pets, lots of people do not train their pets. Also there’s the issue of allergies for hosts and future guests. 7- RESPECT the owners PROPERTY.
