Happy Halloween! According to History.com, “The tradition originated with the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain, when people would light bonfires and wear costumes to ward off ghosts. In the eighth century, Pope Gregory III designated November 1 as a time to honor all saints. Soon, All Saints Day incorporated some of the traditions of Samhain. The evening before was known as All Hallows Eve, and later Halloween.”

For me, Halloween is a day to celebrate the loved ones we have lost. It’s a day of celebration but also a day of sorrow. This year it will be particularly difficult for me because I lost my mom unexpectedly just 4 days ago. I choose to celebrate her beautiful life today.

Make time to cherish your loved ones, but love yourself too. Heal and re-energize you body, mind and soul every once in a while with an escape….because after all, Orange You Worth It?

Stopped by The Brave Burger at the Montrose Street Market this week to satisfy my burger craving. I consider myself a burger ju**ie and this place had something for everyone. Had the Cheeseburger and fries and....WOW! The burger was extremely flavorful on its own. They are handcrafted and definitely made with love! Their menu has options for vegetarians and those that prefer bunless. They also have delicious dogs and several types of loaded French fries like the Pulled Pork Fries, the Brisket Loaded Fries and more. Be sure to stop by when you stay with us!

Checked out Leos bbq at the Montrose Street Market in Historic Downtown Clermont today. Had the Grilled Platter to share. Leo's features Brazilian and American BBQ. Added on a side of the Mac N' Cheese and it didn't disappoint! Washed it down with a delicious Brazilian soda...Guarana Antartica and it was delish! Epic Theatres of Clermont is the best place to go relax and watch a great movie here in town! The theatre has some amazing reclining stadium seating so you can snuggle in a enjoy your show. They also recently added a full bar for those that like to partake. Most of the theatre concession are self serve so you can set your popcorn up to your specific liking....lots of butter and some salt please!

Make sure you know exactly what you will be renting. 2- FOLLOW the HOUSE RULES! Your HOST is letting you borrow their beautiful home. There’s nothing wrong with a few rules. 3- REGISTER all of your GUESTS… this includes children and infants. Often municipalities and properties have MAX Occupancy regulations so EVERYONE staying needs to be on the reservation. 4- NEVER book for someone else. This is considered a third party booking and it’s a violation of the Terms of Service. Besides, if your unregistered guest destroys something, you will be held responsible. 5- DO NOT SMOKE in a NON-SMOKING listing. This is just a dick move…PERIOD. You may not be able to smell well, but others can and many more have allergies.
