Disney is making changes to their "skip the line" pass previously called Fastpass, Fastpass +, or Genie+. Let's start with some new definitions: Lightning Lane Multi Pass - This is the same as Genie+ Lightning Lanes, just a new name. Multi Pass will include most of the attractions in the parks. My office for the day, in beautiful St Thomas USVI! I'm currently sailing on Royal Caribbean's Wonder of the Seas.

When you go on a cruise it is very important that you keep your phone in Airplane Mode while on the ship, and use the ship's WiFi.

Using your own phone and data plan does not work at sea, as it switches to a network called Cellular At Sea and can rack up astronomical chargs (such as the $200 phone bill I came home to after my first cruise...)

Your best bet is to purchase an Internet package before your cruise. And be sure to check for Airplane Mode on every device you or the kids bring with you!

How good is the WiFi on Wonder of the Seas? I was able to use it yesterday for an agent Zoom meeting!

Think you don't need Travel Insurance?
Neither did I...

I get it. No one wants to spend extra money on top of the cost of your vacation.
But think about just how much money you'd be out when the unexpected happens.
In our case, all told we will be out about $2200. Not too bad, except add in possible lost wages, and lost vacation you've been excited about for months.

Get. Travel. Insurance.

Even if your trip was booked without my help, I can still send a quote for Travel Insurance. I hope that you never have to use it, but wouldn't it be better to know it's there?

Why I suggest getting to the Orlando airport (MCO) 3 hours before your flight: this morning during the busy Spring Break/Easter week it took my daughter 45 minutes to get through security.

Always get there early, or sign up for TSA Pre-Check or another trusted traveler program, or check out MCO's Reserve where you can make an appointment to go through security faster.

They also have an app that shows the current wait times to go through security.

Went to Universal with our grown kiddo yesterday, and these were the only pictures I took the entire time!

Parking lot tip: always take a picture. You'll think you can remember, and you might, but what if you don't? Just take the pic!

Disney is bringing back the Dining Plan for 2024! We went over the Quick Service Plan yesterday, so go back and look for it if you missed that one.

Now we're going to talk about the Table Service Plan: This is a great option for those wanting to sit down for a longer meal - even a character meal or buffet - during their park day.

The basics are the same as the Quick Service Plan, but this one includes one Table Service meal, one Quick Service meal, and 1 snack.

The fine print is the same too: everyone in your room has to be on the same package, and the credits are based on the number of nights you're staying at a Disney resort.

What else comes with the plan, and again, is it worth the add? Check back - I'll have more info coming soon!

Disney is bringing back the Dining Plan for 2024!

I know some of you are thinking... Finally!

And some of you might be thinking... what even is that?

The Disney Dining Plan can be added to your vacation package, either as a full package with room, tickets, and dining, or if you're military we can do a room with the dining plan and you can still use your separately purchased tickets.

There are two different plans: the Quick Service and the Table Service.

The Quick Service Plan is great for those who like to "eat on the run". It comes with two Quick Service meals and one snack per night of your trip. You can use these all across WDW, in the theme parks, at the resorts, and even some locations at Disney Springs or in the water parks.

The fine print: Everyone in your room has to be on the same package. The dining plan is only available for "length of stay", and the amount of credits is based on the number of nights you are staying at the resort. There's more, but those are the basics.

(What about the dining plan that covers a table service meal? And are the dining plans worth it? We'll go over those in the next couple of days!)
