Mother daughter trips are the best, especially when you are traveling well in luxury! I had so much fun planning for these gorgeous ladies! This classic Rome/Amalfi itinerary was designed to awe. If you’re planning to travel to Italy in 2025 I will start accepting trip requests again on September 1st.

A note from Barb:

Our trip to Italy 🇮🇹 ends at Positano for Martina and me. We stayed at Hotel Eden Roc, nestled in the Amalfi Coast with views of the Mediterranean Sea from our balcony. The hospitality and attention to detail at this luxurious hotel were unforgettable. We took a guided boat tour around Capri Island. We swam into a grotto and viewed the famous Faraglioni cliffside arch. We also walked through the Augustus Garden and shopped on Via Camerelle, where we even made handmade sandals. We had dinner at Da Vincenzo Positano, our favorite Italian restaurant, and it was delicious, the best we had in Positano….Next stop 🇭🇷

This beautiful couple is on a private two week custom Italy and Sicily tour. They started in Rome with private VIP tours of the Vatican, St. Peter’s Basilica, the Sistine Chapel, and Ancient Rome. They adored Francesca, one of the most fabulous guides in Rome.

They didn’t want to switch hotels more than three times throughout this journey so we added a private driver for a day trip from Rome to Tuscany where they visited off the beaten path wineries and spent time with locals.

Below are some highlights from days 4-8 on the Amalfi Coast, with a day trip to the island of Capri. We are off to Sicily to celebrate the Feast of the Assumption with Adrian’s family, then exploring Taormina ❤️

We have had A-List travelers in Italy every week since May. It’s my favorite country and favorite trip to plan. I’ll be back in October.

Alexa contacted us to craft a dream trip to Italy with her family with a little bit of culture, history and of course good food and wine.

Her custom itinerary included a stop in Rome, where they visited the Vatican, Sistine Chapel, St. Peter’s Basilica and the Colosseum. Our relationships with local guides and tour operators allows us to give our clients VIP experience, eliminating long lines and large group tours.

The next stop was Tuscany where they enjoyed pizza and gelato making classes in a private residence. They shopped in a local market and got to know their hostess, engaging in conversation about Italian life.

In Positano they visited a family run farm where lemon trees and olive trees grow. They took a private boat up and down the Amalfi coast.

During our consultation with Joan we learned that she and John are quite adventurous and were looking for a vacation where they could combine their love of nature, hiking and local culture with some relaxation. With this in mind we recommended Costa Rica and designed an itinerary just for them.

The first part of the trip was in the Arenal region where they hiked the hanging bridges, rappelled down waterfalls, zip lined through the tree tops and even enjoyed a private lunch with their guide at their home where they were able to get to know them and the culture. In the evenings they enjoyed the hot springs at their beautiful resort with volcano views.

For the second half of the trip they stayed in Guanacaste and had some well deserved rest, relaxation and beach time. Travel with Awestruck arranged all of the components of the trip for a seamless and stress free adventure.

We arrived in Dubrovnik on Saturday for our private yacht charter. On this sailing we have swim stops every day as we cruise to the next port! Will we be hosting this trip again next summer? Absolutely! More details to come in July! When we are designing your vacation we always prioritize your personal travel style, wish list, and travel budget. Vacations for our family need to include relaxing on the water as we aren’t the biggest sightseers so I asked my Italian connections how to vacation like an Italian and they all said the same thing- go to Sicily! So here we are! On Sunday morning, we got up and left Sorrento at 4:00 a.m. to fly over to Catania, Sicily. This part of our trip is a little more laid back than the Amalfi Coast, but we plan to explore this beautiful island! We booked a villa in the hills of Augusta which is on the southeast coast of Sicily. It’s absolutely breathtaking and I have to keep pinching myself that this isn’t a dream! We are having some great family time while laughing as we are definitely the Americans trying to figure out things like navigating with a rental car and grocery shopping in another country! Sicily is absolutely beautiful! ❤️

Melissa has over 20 years of combined event and travel management experience, including sales and leadership meetings, incentive programs, product launches, celebrity appearances, and destination weddings. Her multi-dimensional industry knowledge transforms our clients' trips into organized and successful realities with a seamless and stress-free planning process.

From her early career as a management intern at New England Dragway, Melissa's journey in event and group travel planning has been a testament to her adaptability and versatility. She built on her event experience as a Marketing, Sponsorship & Corporate Event Manager at Verizon Wireless, where she was responsible for meetings and event management, as well as sponsorships within New England. Her role expanded as she was promoted to Executive Briefing Program Manager, overseeing the implementation of C-level, executive briefings at the Verizon Innovation Centers in Waltham, MA, and San Francisco, CA. Tara, one of our travel advisors, just returned from Impression Isla Mujeres by Secrets. Tara has traveled the world, staying at five star resorts. She’s a tough critic, and her wanderlust discourages her from returning to the same place more than once. It seems like the more she travels, the longer her bucket list gets. Shouldn’t it be the opposite?

We have a new favorite traveling to Mexico. We will have to break our one and done policy to come back to Impression Isla. It was elegant with stunning views! No filter needed. Anth (her husband) is a foodie and gave it five stars. The service, room, decor, and spa services were all excellent.

Here, you can savor a food-and-wine tasting tour with a local guide -- stopping in at the "bacari" (neighborhood wine bars) beloved by Venetians. At each stop, you'll enjoy a sip and bite of the true Venice. . . without another tourist in sight. Venice doesn't have to feel touristy if you are planning with the right travel partners!
