Last night, Impact 100 Macomb County announced during the 2024 Grant Reveal that the nonprofit raised $107,000 for one lucky nonprofit, to be announced this November.

Elizabeth Morris and Tori Padula are members of Impact 100 Macomb County, and their membership is sponsored by . Elizabeth also dedicates her time to the nonprofit as a volunteer board member.

"The Clinton Township Board of Trustees approved a new 5,100-square-foot eatery for the southeast corner of Hall Road (M-59) and Romeo Plank Road on the site of what is currently a two-story Fifth-Third Bank office building."

Congratulations and best wishes to our longtime friend and client, Joe Vicari, and his team at Andiamo. They were recently granted a liquor license from Clinton Township for the new restaurant concept “Andiamo Pasta & Chops,” coming soon to Partridge Creek and revitalizing the former Brio restaurant space. They expect an August opening.

Macomb County’s version of "Shark Tank" was a hit!

Hosted by the Southeast Michigan Chamber of Commerce, Chairman John Johnson ensured that all five of the new businesses received a check of either $50,000 or $100,000!

The “sharks” judging the event are among Macomb County’s best-known private sector leaders: Joe Vicari (), Rachel Tronstein-Stewart (Garder White), Todd Samper (Priority Waste) and George Barnes (Heritage Vision Plans).

In the end, they selected Beth H***y (Shifty) as the Grand Prize winner. The audience also picked its favorite.

Firm Partner Rob Huth voted Mustafa Ahmed Syed of REZA because Rob thought the tennis shoes with lights were “pretty cool.”

's Steevie Marrin is a member of the Macomb County Elder Justice Alliance, which is an Elder Abuse Task Force formed under legislation created by Michigan’s Attorney General Dana Nessel and the Michigan Supreme Court. The organization's meetings are usually open to members only, however Steevie was able to bring fellow firm team members Mitch Paquette and Michael Petrus to a recent meeting to meet Attorney General Nessel.

attended Candice Miller’s annual party this year with so many other officials and business owners. The gathering is known as Macomb County’s best networking event.

This year’s party featured the Triple Crown of past Michigan Secretary of States: Candice Miller (1995-2003), Terri Lynn Land (2003-2011), and Ruth Johnson (2011-2019) were all in the house.

By the way, speaking of horse racing, KirkHuth says pay special attention to Sierra Leone, with Jockey Tyler Gaffalione up, in the upcoming Kentucky Derby.

Partner Rob Huth was on hand to receive recognition from Harrison Township Trustees Paula Rose and Brian Batkins for Kirk Huth’s support of the Harrison Township Recreational programs.

Trustees Batkins and Rose are among the army of volunteers that raise money and host events in the Township. Harrison Township does not use taxpayer funds to fuel its vigorous recreational calendar. Therefore, volunteers and donations are critical to support the fishing derby, movie nights, and many other important activities.

Congratulations and a huge welcome to Sheetz for opening in Michigan!

They have an incredible gas station/eatery concept and are excellent operators. We appreciate the opportunity to work with them in Michigan and specifically on the Chesterfield Township site.

There were many legal challenges involved in the approval process for this property, but we were able to work through them with the excellent assistance of the Chesterfield Township officials.

The new 24-hour gas station, convenience store and fast food eatery is slated to open next year.

This year marks the beginning of the 15th year that has spent time helping out Loyola High School (Detroit, Michigan). The “Dawg Pound” once served the Archdiocese of Detroit as a place of worship. Now it provides the loudest home court in the Catholic League!

Make time to check it out. The team is lead by 2023 High School Coach of the Year, Dennis Morey. Firm Partner Rob Huth had a chance to chat with team members before the game; and he truly thought the team was impressed upon learning that Rob had been named Co-6th Man of the Year for his high school intramural team.

Bob Kirk, Rob Huth, Craig Lange, and Raechel Badalamenti are proud to have recently received the prestigious Patriot Award from the Office of the Secretary of Defense Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) for Kirk Huth’s continuing support of the United States Armed Forces. While the numbers fluctuate year after year, about 40% of the United States Armed Forces are made up of reserve component service members. These citizen warriors could not serve their community, state and country without the support of their civilian employers.
