Choo, choo, the parade and fireworks kick off at 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2 in downtown Cloquet.
Want to join in? If you never got around to filling out a parade application, never fear. Just come and line up between 4-4:45 p.m. Saturday on Cloquet Avenue between 18th and 22nd streets. We can't wait to see all the parade entries this year at the Santa's Home for the Holidays parade!

The chili feed was a hit Thursday, both in terms of food AND donations for the food bank. Thanks so much to the Cloquet and Fond du Lac police departments for making that happen, and to Our Redeemer for hosting!

Overnight several areas were posted "No Parking" for tonight's Santa's Home For the Holidays Parade and Fireworks display. The following areas are posted:

Cloquet Ave from 22 St to 8 St
18 St from Avenue B to Avenue F
8 St from Cloquet Ave to Avenue B
Avenue B from 8 St to appoximately 6 St
Open gravel lot next to Veterans Park
Veterans Park Parking Lot

The areas will be open for parking after the parade/fireworks, but we'd ask people to not park in these spaces from 4-7 PM. Please find an alternative place to park, and let your friends and neighbors know.

It's almost here! Santa's Home for the Holidays kicks off tomorrow night with three different events: Storytime with Santa at the library from 4-6 pm, a free chili feed at Our Redeemer Church from 4:30-6:30 pm and an open house event at businesses in the West End business district from 4-6 pm.
Open house events Thursday, Dec. 1 include art and music at the Pine Knot News, shopping at the ‘ant’cetera art and more store in the old Smokies building on Avenue D and free restorative yoga classes (4:15 and 5:15 pm) at The Nest yoga studio in the First National Bank Plaza building (go in the front door and turn left). The Restore class focuses on helping you "be present in your body" and help people searching for calm.
