In November, the Cloverdale Police Department proudly joined the nationwide No-Shave November movement—a month-long initiative where participants forgo shaving to raise awareness and funds for cancer prevention, education, and support. But for our department, it wasn’t just about growing beards—it was about growing support for a cause that matters deeply to our community.

Officers contributed the money they would normally spend on shaving and grooming to support Courtney’s Pumpkin Patch, a local nonprofit making a meaningful difference right here in Cloverdale. In a truly inspiring act of generosity, the Cloverdale Police Officers Association stepped up to match every dollar raised, effectively doubling the funds donated.

The funds were presented to Catherine and Dennis Davis, board members of Courtney’s Pumpkin Patch. Their organization focuses on two key initiatives:

•Awarding scholarships to Cloverdale High School students who exhibit exceptional character and leadership.

•Providing financial assistance to local cancer patients, helping ease the financial strain of treatment-related expenses.

If you would like to learn more or contribute to Courtney’s Pumpkin Patch, please visit their website. Every donation helps provide scholarships to local students and much-needed support to families facing cancer treatment.

As we wrap up an incredible year, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who made 2024 such a memorable year for our community. From our local events to the connections we’ve built, it’s been truly special to witness the spirit of collaboration and growth that defines Cloverdale. We couldn’t have done it without you, and we’re excited to carry that momentum into the new year!

As we take time to recharge and enjoy the holidays with our loved ones, we’ll be stepping away from social media and our regular duties for a brief break. We will be back in the office and fully reopening on Thursday, January 2nd.

In the meantime, please follow our local businesses and restaurants closely on their social pages for their hours, and if you have any urgent questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Neena—she’ll be happy to assist! 707-548-8691
