So, here’s the dilemma: sometimes you finish a cruise in Miami or Fort Lauderdale and your flight is not until 3:45 in the afternoon. The latest time you can leave the cruise ship is 9:30am and, assuming a 30 minute Uber, you arrive at the airport at 10am. That’s best case scenario. The problem is the airlines no longer let you check your bags until three hours before your flight. so, you have to sit in the ticketing area for two hours and 45 minutes waiting for the ability to check your bags.

Solution? Royal Caribbean offers an excursion where they keep your luggage on the motorcoach while you tour the Everglades, learn about alligators, and other animals, and enjoy an airboat ride to see the beauty and wildlife.

Highly recommend!!

Royal Caribbean offers many “first at sea” experiences and many many “only at sea” experiences. One of which is the Royal Escape Room - an additional cost onboard activity.

Because Royal Caribbean offers an amazing Adventure Ocean program for children (our grandson listed it as his favorite thing onboard - yes, even better than the carousel, the slides, the Wizard of Oz show, the soft serve of ice cream…) Derek and I were able to enjoy a one hour escape room experience with our adult kids. Amazing fun!

We made it out with 17 minutes to spare! Not a record but an outstanding session.
