Freedive charter, Saturday June 8th. Went off like a firecracker 💥. Miami area current was ripping early, as a morning incoming tide was filling in. Mutton snapper & Cerro mackerel everywhere, we had a 8’ ft. Hammerhead 🦈come in hot🔥to our flashers. Our guest Albert Araujo maintained his composure. Locked up a nice 24” red grouper 🐟 Shortly there after, we moved south and into the patch reefs and found him a 19” hogfish🐷to boot. Great day, lots of instruction and this is what happens when guests pay attention to the captain! 💯🏆

Mom wanted a grouper, I only saw small ones. This 53 lb. Cobia came in with a Dusky shark at 83 ft. deep. So excited, I pulled the trigger too quick! Bad shot placement, caused a 20 min. battle. Pulled me to the bottom three times, it wouldn’t give up easy. Fought off 3 other sharks before sinking my knife in its head. Then the 100 yard swim back to the boat, alone. Experience pays folks, without my training from “performance freediving international” this could have been my last dive. Be safe, no fish is worth your life. What a day! Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers!
