One of the greatest things about fishing the Clearwater this time of year is the flexibility to catch both salmon and steelhead.

When the kicker motor seized up first thing this morning, I decided to make the best lemonade I could with the situation. I committed to hover fish eggs on the bow mount and anchor all day.

In turn we were rewarded with a good number of bites throughout the day, and managed to land a few salmon and even a couple nice smallmouth!

With how things started I couldn’t be happier with how things ended up.

The egg fishing bite should continue to heat up here on the Snake. But the hover bite here is a limited window. So if you want to experience or learn one of the most fun ways to catch salmon, jump on one of our remaining days down here on the snake river.

Great evening trip out on CDA! 🎣

With a number of good smallmouth and a dandy pike, as well as an awesome sunset to cap it off, it’s days like these remind us why we love what we do!

The fishing has been good lately, but with the bass and pike looking to put on the feed bags as they make their transition towards winter, and more and more salmon coming over Bonneville Dam daily, things will only get better as we press on into September and October. You wont want to miss out on the chance to experience the best that fall fishing has to offer!

Fall Salmon Season is Here! 🎣

This is the time of year when we encounter some of the largest, most aggressive, and hardest-pulling fish. If you’ve been dreaming of catching a big ol’ King salmon, now’s your chance!

Took a few days off to enjoy a small vacation and celebrate our 10th anniversary with my wife (and dogs).

The areas surrounding our Upper Columbia fishery are chock full of amazing opportunities to craft your own vacation that can be remembered for generations.

We choose not to always post pictures of clients posed with their limits of fish.

Instead, photos like this are what we feel truly better represent the exceptional guided fishing experiences we strive to provide to our clients.
