Getting to know the owner of An Extraordinary Traveler.
I recently met a potential client at a local Starbucks. She had been commenting on the photos that are posted daily on my page for a few months and we had several virtual chats. She was ready to talk about a trip. When I walked in, we instantly connected like old friends and she said, “I don’t even know your name!” How crazy is that? I was a bit mortified. How is it possible, that people who follow my page, don’t know me? So, here is a little about myself and my business.
I have been in the travel business, providing amazing vacations and adventures to my clients for just shy of 5 years. An Extraordinary Traveler is a home based business, that allows me to provide my clients with great customer service and gives me the freedom to create experiences with little stress or pressure. It is a luxury boutique agency, but that doesn’t mean you need to break the bank to plan a vacation with me.
I am the mom of 2 amazing human beings and 2 fabulously furry and loving labradoodles. My daughter is 25 and just completed her Master’s degree, has a huge test to take and is starting the job hunt. My son, 23, graduated from college in May and lives and works in Austin, where he is living his best life. They are both Auburn Alumni. While my husband and I chose to downsize to Colleyville, TX a little over a year ago, we raised our kids in Southlake, TX and are now empty nesters, sort of.
Travel is a passion for me. I literally JUMP at every and any opportunity that comes my way to explore a new or familiar destination. It’s not only a lifestyle, but a wonderful PERK of the job. I am given so many incredible opportunities to explore the world thru work, but absolutely love to travel with the people I hold dearest and make amazing memories. .
Although, I have niches, that are without a doubt my strengths, such as all-inclusive resorts in Mexico (I’ve toured more then 60 properties to date), independent travel to Europe and cruises. I can assist with just about any kind of travel that interests you. There is truly no better feeling then seeing the excitement in someones eyes as they prepare to vacation. Ok, maybe a better feeling is hearing from a client while traveling or upon their return, that it was the BEST TRIP EVER! Traveling is expensive, in many cases, it’s a trip of a lifetime or to celebrate a special moment or occasion. It better be good.
What’s hot, Europe, any and all destinations, off the beaten path experiences, immersing in the culture. Consider being among the first guests inside the Vatican for a visit before it opens to the public or exploring the Coliseum at night, imaging what it must have been like to compete against your enemies. A Ferris wheel on the Seine in Paris while the Eiffel Tower sparkles and shines. Taking a river cruise on the Danube or Rhine and visiting the amazing Christmas markets in the wintertime surrounded by snow. Or, to see the tulips in bloom in the spring. Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam are HUGE for me this year. Imagine yourself floating down the Mekong River, dining with a Vietnamese family after a day of visiting Buddhist temples or interacting with elephants. The gorgeous beaches of Phuket and the PhiPhi Islands, Or, keep it simple and take your family to Mexico for a sun-soaked, beach filled memory making week surrounded by palm trees and pretty drinks. The skies the limit and An Extraordinary Traveler can make it happen.
At a time, when there is so much competition out there for travel experiences, I’d like you to know, that using a travel specialist really does have benefits.
