It's here! The first commercial for Star Wars: Galactic Star cruiser just dropped! This 2-night experience is like nothing you have ever experienced before at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel. The Star cruiser blasts off in spring 2022!
After you’ve watched this one or maybe 10 times, here are a few fun moments that stand out to us:
-We already know the adventure will begin at the Galactic Starcruiser Terminal at Walt Disney World, where Guests will enter a launch pod and head out into space. In this new clip, we watch out a viewport as the pod jumps to hyperspace, followed by the sudden appearance of the Halcyon starcruiser, home base for this immersive two-night adventure in a galaxy far, far away.
-We learned last week from Disney Imagineers, the dining experience will certainly be a highlight of a stay aboard the starcruiser.
-You see in the commercial how the Resistance is always looking for new recruits – but will Guests choose to join them?
-As our hero’s family rushes into the scene, you get a view out to space over his shoulder, and then a quick look inside the cabin. The sleeping berths we can see are reminiscent of a similar bunk inside the main hold of the Millennium Falcon, no? And those are definitely some nice robes the family is wearing – they look like Jedi ready for action!
-When the camera pulls back, we zoom out the cabin’s viewport and into space – where suddenly TIE fighters dart in and hurl some blaster bolts toward the starcruiser. The Imagineers let us know Guests will be trained in bridge operations as part of our stay on the ship, and its laser cannons may come in handy at some point …

Disney Dream Resumes Sailing August 9!
Welcome back Disney Cruise Line! Beginning August 9, the Disney Dream will kick off Disney Cruise Line's long-awaited return to cruising with three- and four-night cruises from Port Canaveral, Florida. Disney Cruise Line has released this video with the new healthy and safety features on board their ships!
The day we all have been waiting for is finally here...Fireworks Spectaculars are back at Disney Parks starting this July!
At Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, July 1 marks the start of nightly fireworks performances at Magic Kingdom Park and EPCOT. “Happily Ever After” will transform Cinderella Castle with lights, projections and pyrotechnics, as moments from favorite Disney stories encourage Guests to grab hold of their dreams and make them come true. And as part of the ongoing transformation of EPCOT, “EPCOT Forever” will produce a spectacle of fireworks, music and lighting effects over World Showcase Lagoon, highlighting the themes of innovation, exploration, imagination and celebration at the core of the park’s past, present and future.
As Disneyland Park in California welcomes back all guests, the fun starts July 4 with “Mickey’s Mix Magic” presented nightly throughout the summer. State-of-the-art projections, show lighting and lasers will transform Main Street, U.S.A., Sleeping Beauty Castle and the façade of “it’s a small world” into a dazzling, family fun dance party that goes sky high with fireworks to celebrate the leader of the club, Mickey Mouse.
Designing the Disney Wish
Take a look at Disney Cruise Line's newest video “Designing the Disney Wish”, and see how Disney is introducing an all-new look and feel for every stateroom on the Disney Wish. Steeped in enchantment and inspired by Disney stories, accommodations aboard the Disney Wish will be a peaceful retreat designed with families in mind, featuring custom-made artwork depicting beloved Disney fairytales.
A New Twist on Bedtime Stories: New for the Disney Wish, Walt Disney Imagineers have imbued every stateroom with the soft, dreamlike worlds and restful imagery of enchanted Disney fairytales through glittering gold-leafed headboard murals and framed pieces commissioned exclusively for the Disney Wish.
In line with the ship’s overall design motif of enchantment, stateroom artwork will represent classic and contemporary Disney stories that capture the essence of wish fulfillment and dreams come true, such as Cinderella (whose maxim “a dream is a wish your heart makes when you’re fast asleep” is particularly fitting).
Beyond the artwork, every detail has been designed to tell a story, from pixie-dusted furnishings to delicate linen embroidery inspired by the fleet’s signature golden filigree. This even extends into the corridors, where exquisite decoration serves the greater purpose of wayfinding: Richly themed carpeting, softly colored accent walls, magical lighting and unique adornments will provide guests with an intuitive yet artful cue to know they’ve arrived at their home away from home.

Every stateroom aboard the Disney Wish has been designed with ample room for families, plenty of storage space and upscale amenities. Most of the ship’s 1,254 staterooms will offer an ocean view — including 877 (70%) with a spacious verandah — and there will be 451 connecting doors that adjoin rooms to accommodate larger families. Come explore Disney's Beach Club and Yacht Club with me! Disney’s Beach Club is a beautiful, Deluxe property located on the shores of Crescent Lake. It’s a wonderful place to unwind after a day at the parks with it’s sleepy, seashore style that will put you in mind of New England in the early 1900’s. It’s located adjacent to EPCOT’s International Gateway entrance, which puts you right into the World Showcase in EPCOT right between the United Kingdom and France. This convenient entrance allows you to easily walk right into magic or back home after a fun-filled day in the park!
Disney’s Yacht Club Resort is located next to Beach Club, it’s ‘sister’ resort. This Deluxe resort’s hardwood floors, brass accents and nautical touches all contribute to the feeling of being at an elegant resort at the seashore in New England when life’s pace was slower and more relaxed, and the smell of the sea filled the air.
Besides the amazing location, the Beach Club and Yacht Club are favorites of many Disney guests because of the water park-like pool, Stormalong Bay.
