Been so busy working on improvements, that we haven’t been able to share them.
We installed AC in The Pine House! 🎉 It took removing the old swamp cooler, replacing the siding, patching drywall, adding the new unit, and thermostat! ✨Here’s to visiting us for colorado summer adventures with a cool AC base camp!✨

Being a host is tough. This is the side of hosting that is rarely shown. About a month ago we had a sewer blockage, and we had to get a sewer access installed. I had a company come out and after chiseling concrete, digging, and a few thousand dollars later we have a cleaned out working sewer!

Not every guest is perfect and sometimes The Pine House demands repairs. Please remember to have patience with hosts and their properties because we work hard to provide the best stay possible. With that being said we are grateful for the amazing guests we’ve had and our future ones. We’re stoked to have The Pine House back up and running and better than before!

Pikes Peak - America's Mountain has confirmed that the new Pikes Peak Summit Visitor Center is on track to open early this summer, and he date of the grand opening is expected to be announced later this month. The new building will elevate the experience for visitors who summit the peak by car, bicycle, foot or rail – the is also set to reopen this May with new tracks and cars. When the visitor center opens, it will be the most sustainable high-altitude structure in the country, if not the world. Plus, the new facility and all exterior walkways will be fully accessible to people of all ages and abilities. Guests will be able to enjoy fresh menu options and digitally interactive displays that bring the history, significance, and geology of the mountain to life. Of course, visitors can still delight in a world-famous Pikes Peak donut, always made fresh daily using the same high-altitude recipe in place since 1916. There will, though, be new topping options for the summit’s signature baked good! Yummm!!
