🔥ATTENTION🔥
Whitefish Mountain Resort and the surrounding area will be under Stage 1 fire restrictions starting this Saturday, Aug. 3. These local, state and federal rules limit where you can smoke and build campfires until further notice. They also overlap with restrictions already in effect here at the resort!
Here's what you need to know on the mountain:
SMOKING: Stage 1 restrictions limit smoking to several defined areas. At Whitefish Mountain Resort, all smoking must be done outdoors on hard surfaces such as concrete or asphalt, or in designated smoking areas such as the marked ring at the summit. Please dispose of cigarette butts in the marked receptacles — not on the ground where they can start a fire!
Additionally, smoking is prohibited on all chairlifts and hiking trails at the resort.
CAMPFIRES: Guests are never permitted to build campfires at Whitefish Mountain Resort. Elsewhere, Stage 1 restrictions prohibit most campfires on public lands.
PARKING: As an added precaution, we ask that you don't drive or park in grassy areas. Heat from your vehicle can easily ignite dry vegetation and start a fire!
