With a limit of just 34 kids and 8 teachers, our group will explore the lesser traveled and more serene parts of Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado while staying in Elk Mountain Resort in Estes Park. The kids spoke and we listened! They want to travel by train! We are currently reworking both the Rocky Mountain and Yellowstone trips so that it now includes travel by train! We will have all the new details for these trips out by Wednesday.

Rocky Mountains: 24% of spots sold
Yellowstone: 27% of spots sold

It’s already time to reserve your Summer of 2024 summer adventure trip! Registration opens at 6 pm today (Friday, Sept. 1) at www.wildtrekexpeditions.com. A few notes:

1. If the system processes your order and 50% deposit, you are in. It keeps track of available spots, so you will know immediately what trip you are on.

2. A “ low inventory” warning will show when there are 10 spots or fewer left for a given trip. If you see that, type faster! 😄

3. If a trip sells out at some point, consider ”purchasing” the trip wait list. There is no cost. This will let the Board know people want more of a particular trip in case there are ways to expand.

4. Any middle or high school student from any school or location may apply.

5. There will be an optional family fundraiser available this Fall to help pay for part of the trip.

Registration to the Summer 2024 Wild Trek trips starts on Friday, September 1! This includes the Grand Canyon, Teton/Yellowstone, and Rocky Mountain expeditions. Each trip limited to just 34-39 participants.

Our third trip option for next summer. The Yellowstone and Grand Tetons Adventure - with an overnight stay at a Bison Ranch in Cheyenne, WY during travel!

This 8-day adventure will base out of the Flagg Ranch cabins and explore the best of Northern Tetons and many places inside Yellowstone National Park including the Canyon area, Old Faithful and other areas of the student’s choosing. The trip will be limited to 34 students with registration opening September 1.

Watch this page for registration details as it gets closer. Wild Trek is a non-profit organization with board members and trip staff consisting of current and retired teachers. Our staff’s dedication and out of the box thinking help keep our trip prices much lower than the average so they are accessible to more families.

Previewing our second Summer of 2024 trip offering—-Rocky Mountain National Park!

Our camp will be right at the National Park entrance with swimming, relaxing, and even a concert during the evenings. Days will be filled with explorations of some of the best trails, waterfalls, and wildlife areas.

Watch for more information on registration, which will be on September 1. Space is limited to 34 students. Teacher to student ratio of 1:5.

Wild Trek is a non-profit organization, which along with our experienced teachers and out of the box thinking keep the costs of our trip costs far below average.

Our first preview of just one of our Summer of 2024 Wild Trek Trips. Watch in coming weeks for two more trip option previews (Rocky Mountain Adventure and Yellowstone Adventure) and registration info. Registrations for all trips will begin September 1 and limited to 36 students per trip. Wild Trek is a non-profit organization and staffed by current and former teachers. Our trip experience, non-profit status, and outside the box thinking keeps the trip costs lower than any other of its kind.
