We recently traveled to 📍Destin, FL!

If you’re looking for a quick getaway, GO!!

The trip was definitely 10/10….
The weather was great ✔️
The sand was white and cool✔️
The water was clear bands of greens ✔️
The food was 100/10….. if you go, you must try Boshamps Seafood and Oyster House and McGuire (order the pork chops)! ✔️

Our Annual Ladies Self-Care Retreat was everything we needed to relax, release, and reconnect, and what better location than Asheville, NC, while inhaling the crisp mountain air!
Our theme this year was “Let it Be, and CELEBRATE YOU”❤️

Travel Tip Tuesday:
You can carry food through TSA (no liquids)!

If you’re flying soon and need a healthy meal, let Get on Board Charcuterie customize a mini cup or box for you!

Don’t forget your empty water bottle! Fill it with filtered water after you go through security, instead of buying water!

Compression stockings or socks 🧦 can be your best friend if you’re traveling and sitting still for a long time! 🚙🚍🛩️🚊

They help to promote blood circulation and reduce swelling! If you have a health condition that causes poor blood flow in your legs, you may need a specific pair, so talk to your provider!

Remember that time I planned a trip to 📍🇨🇴
and COVID numbers started to rise (again)?!

Turns out, some clients canceled their reservations, and I cancelled the group trip, but at the last minute, I decided to go, Solo!! ✌🏽

Believe me when I say I had the best time!! ✊🏽

Some people are afraid to travel to Cartegena, and they immediately think ‘drug Cartels’! Truth is, it’s safe to travel there, using common sense! Cartegena is rich in history and culture! ✊🏽 There’s art showcased EVERYWHERE, and The people were so friendly! I’d definitely go back just for the food!!

Day 3: Rest, relax, spa, beach, and drinks!

Day 2: City Tour, is a wrap! 👣

One of the things I incorporate in group travel is a tour of the places we travel! This is a great way to immerse yourself in the culture of the places and the people who live there, that you typically would not see if you don’t venture away from the nice resorts! Yes….. we mingle with locals, visit their homes, and even sit and break bread with them!!

What I’m teaching the group is intentional traveling! Today, the group of ladies visited a farm with horses, another farm with cocoa (the bean used to make chocolate), coffee, vanilla plantation, and all with tasting of each!

We also visited the Basilica of Higuey (on of the most religious sites in the DR), a local fruit and meat market, and had a delicious lunch, cooked by the locals, on the Anamuya River, and yes, it was delicious! We ended our tour at a cigar factory, and even learned how to roll a cigar!

The ladies loved each aspect of the tour, learned about the history of Dominican Republic, and walked away with a grater appreciation for this group trip! 🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿
