Before we checked into our vacation house for the week, we left a day early and had stayed in a hotel.
Being a special needs momma I have to do alittle more research and pay attention to close details when it comes to booking vacations, and booking hotels/houses.
I was actually surprised at how wheelchair friendly Tru by Hilton was in Orlando.
Our room was spacious, bathroom had a roll in shower. The soap dispenser was a squeeze so if someone couldn't grasp they can use there arm to push on it to come out. Which I thought was pretty cool. All light switches was at a wheelchair arms reach. They even had a wheelchair level peep hole which I thought was amazing!!
My only con was in the shower was the shampoo dispenser was on the opposite side of where the chair was. If a wheelchair user was showing alone they couldn't reach the shampoo.

Pool had a wheelchair lift.
Breakfast area was at lower levels for all to reach. Had a spacious lobby area with a few games for kids.
Key card access in order to go to your room which I liked.
Overall the experience was great!!
Would highly recommend for a wheelchair user or for anyone going to orlando..

Little Weekend getaways are always so nice.
If your looking for something fun to do and not to far away Louisville KY is a great location with alot to do.
Our hotel was downtown so we walked everywhere we went.
We visited the Belle of Louisville. All their boat tours was sold out but they offer boat cruises. Dinner cruises and a sunset cruise.
We checked out the Mega Caverns and did the underground zip. Such a neat experience if your not scared of heights and an adventurer.
One and only underground zipline in the world.
They also do a drive through Christmas light show near the holidays!
They also have other activities and tours!
We also visited Kart Kountry, which has a 1.5 mile go cart track, 2 put put golf courses, arcade full of a bunch of games, bumper boats.
If you are a drinker( don't have to drink) and like live music Fourth Street Live is for you.
We checked out a few different restaurants while we was downtown.
The Sports & social club, Cluckers, Old Spaghetti Factory.
We ate at the old spaghetti factory and got seated in the red caboose. Really cool place and food was delicious.
