If you don’t already know him, you will recognize this guy from behind our market table. He’s pretty apolitical but felt running for county commissioner was important. He wants to work with the residents of Cherokee County to better meet their needs.

We would appreciate your vote.

Early voting opens October 22 and runs through noon on November 4. The general election is November 5 with voting from 7am-7pm.

So, I need a thing this weekend. It was a first for an event like this . . . go big or go home!! Not exactly a Bailie's Bakery Boutique charcuterie but it was delicious and I think we did well with presentation.

When you’re invited to participate in the safari museum fundraiser, you read it as an opportunity to experiment with color! Earrings and charms in this bunch but also making keychains, pendants, coasters, and charcuterie boards - all coming soon to our safari friends in Chanute, KS.

Watch it work: Made a quick sign for a friend’s “man cave” over the weekend. I’ll be working on personal charcuterie boards for a fundraiser over the next couple of weeks . . . and let’s not forget Valentines Day is just around the corner. #glowforge #charcuterieboard #handmade #homemade

Hopefully, the light rain today will open a path for new blooms. Until then, this sugar water will have to do. I could watch these little miracles of flight all day.

It was a two swarm day today. I’ll post pictures of my helpers later.

This is what progress looks like on the farm - subsurface water control for the new orchard. It will also dry out the pergola where we are getting ready to add a fireplace and pizza oven. We’ve been waiting 6 months for the rain to stop long enough to make it happen. So excited to finally get it done.
