Absolutely my favorite time of year to ice fish! The theme has been not to fish the same lake twice, and lately that has been paying off! Checked a lake on Friday, and found many crappie that were right at 10", perfect eater size! Saturday got out with Brian and found the motherload of 9" gills! The kicker was this 10.25" female gill! Checked a few different lakes today, with the last one being the best by far! Ice was 6 to 7" consistently. Fish were in the weeds, or cruising closely to them. Wife got a dandy Gill at 9 1/4"! Crappies were 13" and 12" with a few shorter ones. Should be a good video😁

Revisited the lakes we checked on black friday in Iron county, which were completely open water then. These are 100 to 200 acre drainage lakes, with a depth of 60ft in the capped one, to 23ft in the southern lake that it drains into. Next weekend should be able to access these types of lakes. Stay up top!

Day 2 post 11/30/24. Did manage to find a 30 acre, 23ft deep lake in Northern Sawyer County that I could get on the ice! Most other lakes were still spotty with open water patches. One lake looked to be 8 acres that was covered. Seems the closer you get to the lake effect snow areas, the worse the ice conditions are(snow/wind). I will definitely be catching fish on these lakes next weekend! Stay up top everyone be smart no need to rush it.

Ice report from Iron and Sawyer County 11/29/24. Checked about 10 different lakes in the area, ranging in depth from 8ft to 60ft. 50 to 200 acre lakes. The only lakes that were froze over were the shallow ones. Drone saved a ton of wasted time walking. I don't know how we did it before🤣. Shallow lakes was one swing of the spud bar and was through. I need at least 3 swings before I'm comfortable walking out. Will check tomorrow and Sunday morning and report back. Next weekend should be go time for sure!

Saturday fished a couple lakes that were deep, clear, and around 3200 acres. Couldn't find any walleyes, but plenty of smallmouth in 20 to 28ft on deep structure! We laughed soo hard because these fish fight like crazy! Then a few hours today on a 400 acre lake fishing cribs in 25ft landed 3 walleyes, nicest being 18". Found some nice gills as well! No crappies, which we were looking for, because this lake has some giants. Should be a good video, stay tuned!! KADE Outdoors llc

Afternoon trip on a different lake in Vilas County was absolutely INSANE. Did not take many pictures, the video should be good though. Found a 20ft long pod of walleyes all 15 to 16" on a subtle rise that came up to 15ft. It was EVERY cast for me within the first 30 minutes. Once that bite faded, we went looking for panfish. Found some timber that was holding some 9.5" gills and some nice perch. Will have all the details in the upcoming videos! KADE Outdoors llc

Found a few big ones this morning suspended 20 to 25ft down. Lots and lots of lookers. Key was to keep moving and find new fish if they didn't want to bite. Fish are setting up over some deeper water when the sun is up. This pattern usually stays like this until the end of August. Leeches worked best on 1/4 oz. jigs, just kept it moving at that magic depth. Really starting to love the new KADE Outdoors llc 7'2" med light ex fast action carbon core walleye series! .

Got out with another famous Tom today in Vilas County! Not Tom Boley, or Thomas Droste , but The one and only Tom Hubbard !! We did not catch a fish under 23". We did not take alot of pictures either! Was a great day, fishing strictly off the livescope, something I'm really starting to enjoy! We targeted suspended fish and fish no deeper than 20 to 25ft. 1st screenshot is me extracting a fish from a suspended school. 2nd screenshot is Tom pulling one from another school. All fish released. Water temp 72°. Leeches worked the best on 1/4oz jigs. Found many BIG schools of inactive or neutral fish, just kept moving. Thanks again Tom for the awesome time. Well what an awesome 4th weekend in the northwoods! Fished a deep clear natural lake for walleyes and found some big schools keying in on the bug hatch. The livescope shot is of a school of walleyes, yes they were ALL walleyes! The new 7'2" med light ex fast KADE Outdoors llc was broken in proper! Quarter ounce jigs, half a crawler or full leech worked the best in 25 to 28ft. There will be a video or videos!

As an additional feature of my guide service, I will now be offering drone recovery services for the "one that got away"!

So this year I will be running an LVS32 up front, and for clients the LVS34 in the back, just so you can see how many fish your AREN'T catching. Here's a little clip of fish staring down my river rig.
