The Columbus Area Historical Society was founded in 2010 by Kim Bates, Marsha Dake, Shelly and Wally Hlaban, and Peter Kaland. They were interested in collecting, preserving and sharing the unique and significant historical artifacts and stories of the area of Columbus, Columbia County, Wisconsin.

It is just 20 minutes from I 90/94, 35 min. from Dane County International Airport, less than 2 hours from the Milwaukee International Airport, less than 3 hours from the O’hare International Airport, 2 hours south west of Green Bay and approximately 1 1/4 hours south of Wisconsin Dells and on the July 4th parade route, for one of the longest parades in Wisconsin. The historic home was built in 1868 by the HA Whitney Family. Innkeepers are Suzanne and John Walcott. For reservations call 414/418-2893. We cater to non-smokers. Lyft and Uber Services are available at this location.
