Take a stroll with us through Schiller Park 🍂📸

One of the oldest parks in Columbus, Schiller Park was established in 1857 and today features a community center, picnic areas, floral garden, pond, an outdoor stage and more.

It’s located in the ever-charming German Village and it’s absolutely one of the best places to take a fall walk around the city! The foliage has been fantastic here this week.

We're approaching leaf peak next week here in Central Ohio 🍂

Some of the best spots to see fall color around Columbus:

🍁 Gay Street (Downtown Columbus)
The block of Gay Street in downtown Columbus between 4th Street and Cleveland Ave is dreamy this time of year. Come for the fall colors and photos, and stay for the food! The dining scene on Gay Street would keep you satisfied all day starting with a cup of coffee from Brioso Coffee, a cocktail from The Citizens Trust and your pick of great dinner options from Hank's Seafood, Chouette and Speck Italian Eatery.

🍁 Franklin Park
Fall festivities come alive this time of year at Franklin Park Conservatory. With can’t-miss fall events like Harvest Blooms and Pumpkins Aglow, you can make a whole day out of leaf peeping on the grounds and then heading inside the conservatory for all the fun.

🍁 Dawes Arboretum
A remarkable tree sanctuary, Dawes Arboretum boasts 2,000 acres and 15,000 different plants to uncover just 30 miles outside of downtown Columbus.

🍁 Schiller Park
There’s nothing more idyllic than German Village in the fall. Grab a blanket and pick up some seasonal bites from an area restaurant to get the full experience.

🍁 Quarry Trails Metro Park
Our number one suggestion: head down the short Milliken Falls Lower Trail to view its stunning, 25 ft waterfall.

🍁 The Scioto Mile
Skyline views amidst a backdrop of fall foliage. The Scioto Mile several varieties of trees make for a colorful showing of foliage including reds, oranges and yellows.

USA TODAY 10Best just named our city one of the top 10 destinations for an autumn adventure this fall. Here's what they had to say:

"There are so many reasons to take a fall trip to Columbus. At the massive Ohio Expo Center, each and every fall, Columbus Oktoberfest celebrates the city's deep German roots.
