Company History
The Greater Columbus Convention & Visitors Bureau was incorporated in 1941 as a private, non-profit organization to promote Columbus as a convention destination. In June 2003, the GCCVB started doing business as Experience Columbus in an effort to make the organization and its core missions more identifiable to local residents, leisure travelers and convention and meeting professionals.

More than 6,200 fencers will compete at the 2024 USA Fencing Championships and July Challenge at the Greater Columbus Convention Center. Our city is no stranger to breaking fencing milestones - in 2019, more than 5,400 competitors came out to set the record.

๐ Pickle & Chill: With nine indoor and 10 outdoor courts, Pickle & Chill is the largest dedicated indoor-outdoor pickleball facility in the Midwest.
๐ Land-Grant Brewing Company at Gravity Experience Park: Courts can be rented for $20 an hour and come with a shaded bungalow for up to eight people.
๐ New Albany Pickleball Complex: Located in Bevelhymer Park, the award-winning New Albany Pickleball Complex has 16 tournament-grade courts that are open to the public.
๐ Pickle Shack - Central Ohio's 24 hour Pickleball Facility: Thereโs no such thing as a bad time to play โ literally. This 10-court, indoor facility, which was created for avid picklers to have somewhere to play during the colder months, is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
๐ Neighborhood Courts: Dedicated pickleball facilities arenโt the only places you can grab your paddle and play. All over the city, Columbus parks have a combined 118 courts (60 indoor and 58 outdoor) where anyone can play pick-up games, take lessons or reserve a court for pickleball matches with friends.
