Frio Tuesday Tip

We know packing up for your Frio trip can be nerve wrecking! Did you pack this? Did you forget that? Packing wood is the last thing on your mind. Here in Concan there are several spots to get your wood. I will say this.....it will be cheaper to pick up along the way! Don't forget to get s'more stuff!! Always a hit!!

Frio Friday Fun Fact!

The community sits along the Frio River, close to Garner State Park and is a popular destination for summer vacationers. It is known for excellent birdwatching in the spring. A Roy Bechtol-designed 18-hole golf course called Concan Country Club or the Golf Club at Concan is open to the public.

**Tuesday Frio River Tip**
We all want the best spot under the sun with a canopy, please remember if it goes up it must come down the same day! Leaving your canopy in the river is considered littering. Take advantage of the UP2U bags located all around town, and the best part is the are FREE, light and easy to carry. You can drop them off at any yellow dumpster around town.

Another great cook off in the books! A huge shoutout to Armando A DeLuna Tony Villarreal Ruby Villarreal Daryl Polhemus and Veronica, for putting in the hours for an amazing turn out! The boys did great this year both taking second place in the JR and SR division kids Que! Way to go Greyson and JD!! An enormous thank you to Mike and Dwynette Meadows for putting a great team together! Great food, plenty of stories and laughter, but most of all the memories that were created with fellowship!! Kory a huge thank you for being the silent partner behind the scenes! Your hard work definitely does not go unnoticed!

Frio is Spanish for "cold." The river's drainage area is 7,310 square miles. The Frio River has been identified as the stream that Alonso De León called Rio Sarco in 1689. Frio County is named for the river.

The home is 2 stories – 4 bedrooms downstairs and one “bunk room” upstairs. The home has a roomy kitchen and separate dining area to enjoy those great Frio family dinners. There is also a great eating bar in the kitchen area with plenty of extra seating. There are TVs in the living room, master bedroom, and outdoors on the patio. Lets not forget about the TV upstairs to keep the little one entertained on a smart TV. Outside you will have many extras. The pool has several built in stools, a sitting ledge for your enjoyment, and is safety fenced for a peace of mind with small children. The covered patio area has additional seating. There is a flat screen TV, fridge, BBQ pit, and new fire pit.
