It is 95 degrees outside this afternoon in Concan. I have been working outside while no renters are here…watering plants and adding three more landscape stones to complete the firepit surround. Also, and DON’T LAUGH, I, who know nothing about the game of horseshoes, am laying out a horseshoe “court.” Regulation in measurements and in equipment, but, well, maybe you just have to see it to believe it. Sneak peek? As I said, NO LAUGHTER, por favor 😮.

And yes, one end is uphill, and one end is downhill. You just switch sides after each game. 😎😎😎

Adult supervision required. (Maybe I should have had adult supervision???)

BIRDSONG! Isn’t that a lovely word?

Our recent focus on attracting songbirds to Family Tradition - Concan, TX is paying off…in spades! 😁

When you rent Family Tradition, be sure to come equipped with the FREE Merlin app for bird identification as pictured here. Just a few minutes ago, I recorded the tweets/twitters of THIRTEEN DIFFERENT BIRDS from our deck, including the flamboyantly colored PAINTED BUNTING. I am sharing the double screen shots from the app and some feathered pictures from this week. 🐧🐧🐧

Concan is expecting more rain in the next week, so we are opening Family Tradition for rent beginning May 26 in time for the Memorial Day weekend.

Sleeps 12, three full baths, 42-foot deck with amazing views, fire-pit side patio with party lights, new landscaping.
