This week, we embarked on an Amtrak journey to Reno and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Our travels took us on the Amtrak California Zephyr to Reno, where we stayed for two nights at the Silver Legacy.

The start of a new year was celebrated yesterday with a remarkable day at the 136th Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, finishing with dinner at Brio Italian Grill.

Yesterday, our group toured the Hammer Museum at UCLA, followed by a visit to the Los Angeles Farmers Market. We concluded the evening with a delightful dinner and an early New Year's toast to 2025.

Yesterday marked the departure of our New Year's at the Rose Parade tour. Following a hosted breakfast at Pea Soup Anderson's, we arrived in Costa Mesa for a four-night stay. Today's highlights included float decorating at the Rose Bowl and attending Band Fest.

Our American Stage Tours mystery Christmas party was held yesterday. We began with appetizers at our office, then boarded a Royal Coach Tours motorcoach, driven by Jim, who has driven us to many parties over the years, to the Paramount Theatre in Oakland for the Nutcracker. We concluded the evening with dinner at Fago De Chao. We had an amazing time, and this is the one time of the year we can enjoy our American Stage Tours family spending a special time together. Merry Christmas.

Today we concluded our Spirit of Christmas tour with a hosted lunch at Jardines in San Juan Bautista, followed by free time to explore the local shops.

Our group spent yesterday exploring the picturesque town of Cayucos, with a visit to the Brown Butter Cookie Company being a highlight. We then traveled to Cambria, where we had ample time to visit the shops. Next, we visited the Elephant Seal Vista point, where our group was treated to a viewing of the seals, accompanied by a naturalist's insightful commentary. This was followed by a guided tour of Hearst Castle. The evening drew to a close with a dinner hosted at the Manta Rey Restaurant.

Our Spirit of Christmas tour kicked off yesterday, commencing with a hosted lunch at the renowned Steinbeck House. We then traveled to the Cavalier Oceanfront Resort in San Simeon, where we enjoyed a hosted dinner. The evening concluded with a visit to the Cambria Christmas Market, featuring an impressive display of over 3 million Christmas lights and a festive market.

Day 1 of the Mystery trip got us to Costa Mesa. The group thought they were staying just one night at our hotel, but we told them there was a BOGO (buy one, get one) so we decided to stay 2 nights. 🤣 Where oh where are we going today!

Everyone is on board and ready for anything on our 6 day Mystery trip. Stay tuned to find out where we go this year.

Happy 4th from Star Spangled Sparks

Tenaya Creek raging as a river to join the Merced River.

The water is flowing and the Merced River is at flood stage and climbing.

Here is a video of Bridalveil Falls. They are expecting the Merced River to start into flood stages this Thursday with the snow melt due to warm temperatures.
