mmunity suppers, youth activities or four beautiful seasons , then you'll enjoy Concord, NH. The whole of its parts enhance the quality of life in the region! The successful revitalization of Main Street into an active hub of community activities, commerce, politics and entertainment was the result of mutual support by the city, businesses and the people of the community. One of the anchors to New Hampshire's revitalized downtown is a State House, crowned by a gleaming gold eagle-topped dome which can't be missed by motorists passing through on I-93. A major renovation was completed in the 1990s to the 1,360-seat Capitol Center for the Arts continues, to enjoy tremendous success as a venue for nationally and internationally acclaimed performers, as well as local performers. Concord is proud to be home to the largest community music school north of Boston, the Concord Community Music School, the capital region’s symphony orchestra- the Granite State Symphony Orchestra. Our thriving arts community includes notable galleries. Other popular destination points include the Museum of New Hampshire History, Mt. Kearsarge Indian Museum, Pierce Manse, Concord City Auditorium, Kimball-Jenkins Estate and Art School, Canterbury Shaker Village, and the McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center, all of which are not mere attractions but learning experiences.
