Is Spain or Portugal on your bucket list for 2025? I had longtime clients, Ashleigh & Michelle, participate in a Globus Tours Spain & Portugal Escape Tour in November. From their review of the tour:

"We loved Seville the most in Spain, followed by the smaller towns of Toledo and Cordoba. We wished we had more time in Madrid, but we decided to do the excursions, which cut our individual exploration of Madrid down. Lisbon was also great, and we wish we had more time there too. Our favorite place in Portugal was Cascais, which is a little beach town. We truly loved it all!"

Friendly Reminder: You will need to have the N.C. Real ID no later than May 7th, 2025 to use as I.D. when flying domestically.

A REAL ID is a driver's license or identification card that meets federal security standards and can be used for several purposes, including:
Boarding domestic flights
Accessing certain federal facilities, such as military bases and federal courthouses
Entering nuclear power plants

Travelers will need a REAL ID by May 2025 in order to fly domestically in the United States.

Good morning!! Just a few reminders about my services:

1. Appointments: I operate on an appointment-only basis for in-office and phone meetings. Please email me at: [email protected] to schedule a convenient time for both parties. I can accommodate after 5pm and Saturday appointments.

2. Urgent communications: Please call AND email me if you are traveling and have issues. Text messages don't always go through when I am at home in China Grove, so best to call me.

3. Services: I work on a part-time schedule but will always be available if you are a client who is traveling and need my help! I've had to release a few destinations over the past few years and focus on these areas: Caribbean & Mexican Caribbean, Hawaii, Alaska cruises, and Europe and North American scheduled guided tours.

My pleasure to assist Debbie & Donnie with another all-inclusive anniversary trip this year! Secrets Tides in the Dominican Republic opened in January of this year and I recommended it to them. From their review: " resort was beautiful, well-maintained, swim-up room was amazing, nice beach with calm water and almost seaweed free. " Oceana was their favorite restaurant. I'm so glad they had a nice, relaxing trip and can't wait to help them again!

Good news!
The State Department estimated that nearly 50 percent of passport renewals will be done online soon. To take advantage of the service, U.S. citizens must be in the country, and passports that have been expired for more than five years are not permitted to be renewed online.

The U.S. Department of State has launched an online passport renewal service for all citizens following a successful beta test.

Arrive at the airport as early as possible. Passengers traveling without a form of identification will have to go through interviews with TSA officers to establish their identity and most airlines will not refund tickets for people who missed their flights due to a lost ID.
