More trails in the area. More opportunities to ride bikes, hike, walk and space to enjoy the outdoors.

The City of Uniontown Government has started removing the old rails along the center of Beeson Avenue, which is currently closed between Fayette Street and Church Street.

Removing the rails is the first step towards building the next section of the Sheepskin Trail within the city limits of Uniontown.

Nice piece on some of the treasures to be found in and around Ohiopyle. Less than 15 minutes away, it’s a must visit during your stay at YVR—anytime of the year.

There are so many fantastic things to do in Ohiopyle State Park in Pennsylvania's Laurel Highlands. From waterfalls and vistas to famous homes and great white water rafting, there's a bit of something for everyone in one of our favorite state parks in PA.

Best conditions so far this season.

Good SNOWY morning from Laurel Ridge. We started out with a 2-3” base and received 4-5” yesterday. We have 1-2” fresh powder this morning and it’s still snowing at 28 degrees. All trails will be open. We will focus the grooming on red, blue, greens & orange this morning.

We have 2-3” currently and 1” forecasted Thursday with cold temps.
The weather models on this big storm are all over the place but pretty clear we will get anywhere from 6-24” Sat-Sunday 🤣.
We are going to have a couple great weeks of skiing on The Ridge. It’s safe to say….. WAX EM’ UP ⛷️❄️💃🎉

Happy 2024 🎉. We are off to a good start with 4” on The Ridge. The ground is incredibly wet. The snow accumulated mostly at 32 degrees. The flakes were golf ball size at times. Trails are not groomable, but most likely skiable. Bring lots of maxi glide and a scraper or 2! We will reassess tomorrow with more forecasted snow today and colder temps tonight. STAY TUNED ⛷️

Attention Park Visitors!!
Weather permitting park staff with partner agencies will be undertaking a prescribed burn tomorrow. The area affected is in the map below. It is west of Sugarloaf Road near the intersection of Grover Road. We direct park users to avoid this area of the park. The Sugarloaf Trail from Ohiopyle will be open to the Baughman Connector. The trail will be closed between the connector and Grover Road. Please plan accordingly. Travelers on Grover and Sugarloaf Road should use caution as smoke may be present around and in the burn area. More information about the burn will be presented following its completion.
