I took the last week off to get a little time in the woods and more importantly spend the youth hunt weekend with my daughter. She put alot of hours in some pretty poor rainy/windy conditions and passed up some nice deer waiting for the "one". Her patience paid off on this beautiful buck tonight. Congratulations Jocalyn!!

Today ended much differently than I had thought last night as I had today off lol well that changed at 7:15am this morning when this wonderful family called and asked if I had any openings this week as they've been up here fishing for a few days with little to no success. I told them they only day I had available was today and if they that wanted to go I'd be willing to take them and we made a plan to leave marina at 8:30am. I set up my 4 rod spread and in no time eyes started to hit the deck and quickly boxing out on a serious nice mess of fish. Hope they have an amzing fish fry!

Today was a day I like to call search and destroy. We set out at 6am and came to my first stop with nothing but a empty screen. This was also the case the next 6 stops and almost 1.5 hours into the trip. Where did they go!? Thankfully Garmin Marine makes some of the best electronics and stop 7 showed exactly what I was looking for... the Oneida mother load!. Frank and his family were more than eager to get to fishing and we went right to work putting on a sleighing of eyes trolling in 35 fow.
