The Leslie Town Centre is excited to announce that Rising Above Ministries is being awarded $500 from the Together We Care Program.
“As a public nonprofit organization governed by the Public Building Authority of the City of Cookeville, we are dedicated to uplifting our community by supporting other nonprofit initiatives. We are privileged to have the chance to reinvest in our community and are committed to fostering collaboration and growth among local organizations,” said Kathryn Molina, Director of Leslie Town Centre.
Nonprofits play a crucial role in providing valuable resources to our vibrant community, and it’s important to acknowledge their significant contributions. In 2009, the Leslie Town Centre launched the Together We Care charitable-giving program to support these organizations by offering funds to cover expenses related to their fundraising efforts. This initiative is made possible through the proceeds from Mistletoe Market, our annual holiday sales event featuring over 50 local merchants each November.
“We are very excited and honored to receive this award. As a nonprofit ministry serving families impacted by disabilities and special needs in the Upper Cumberland, fundraising is an important part of our work. We are grateful to the Leslie Town Centre for this investment in those efforts,” said Steve Chatman, Vice President of Ministry Advancement and Pastoral Care.
Rising Above Ministries will be hosting their inaugural fundraising gala on Friday, September 27th at the Leslie Town Centre. To learn more about this event, please call the Rising Above office at 931-526-7473.
Rising Above Ministries exists to provide special-needs families with support, encouragement, inspiration, and community. The motivation to do this is based in the belief that God deeply loves all families and wants them to know that love in an authentic and meaningful way.
